Ok this is a 3 star hotel but this should not discourage you as the hotel is very well located close to the airport and the city center. The local bus is right at the corner and takes approx 20 minutes to get to the town center. A local taxi will cost you about 10 pounds regardless of how many... More

Visited Edinburgh as an Aussie Visitor. Special compliments to the staff and Area Manager who were prepared to meet my needs beyond my expectations. Always ready with a smile and offering assistance, I found the facilities good for the price, quality of the food very good and will definitely return in the next 12 months. More

We stayed here for two nights. We chose this place based on good feedbacks. The price was more than fair enough too. It's not far from the Castle area (10-15min drive), a little outside of downtown. And that's also good, because it provides you with a quiet, good sleep. There's free parking behind the Hotel, which can get a little... More

This was the first time I have stayed at the Murrayfield, although I have eaten there on a number of occasions. It is no more than a three star hotel but has a comfortable air about it and the staff are very friendly and helpful! The bedrooms varied enormously. There are 48 altogether and these vary from large twin rooms... More

My boyfriend and I spent just a day in Edinburgh, so happy we chose the Murrayfield! Staff were wonderful and very attentive, the room was amazing, bathroom just fab! Food in the restaurant and for breakfast was awesome. Chose the location because of being close to the zoo, but will be returning there as soon as we can, just a... More

Upon arrival, we were offered an upgrade to a large bay fronted double room at no extra cost,( I think we were to be in a lodge) ,which was ace as the room was lovely and really big! All the usual nick nacks were there, lovely bathroom and massive bed. Free parking is a great help. Breakfast was served to... More

Stayed here after a concert, as myself and my husband didn't fancy travelling back to Glasgow. Found our room very basic, and the 'occasional' furniture was not up to great standard, very old and mismatched. The bed was comfortable enough, and the bathroom clean. Breakfast wasn't served, you helped yourself to everything, even the cooked breakfast, which i'd never come... More

I booked this hotel for my parents, who are an elderly couple from Germany. I was a little afraid that communication might be an issue as my parents don't speak very good English, but the lovely girls at reception would actually go out of their way to make my parents' stay comfortable on every level. My mum has a walking... More
