This was our first trip to Scotland and my husband selected this B&B based on the Trip Advisor Reviews. Annette and Max were attentive host and hostesses but best of all, the pup kept watch over us. The B&B is just a short drive into the gorgeous city of Edinburgh and a 30 minute walk. We did try both means... More

this hotel is amazing, we only stayed for two nights but would definitely return. the rooms were clean and had everything you need - i think my shower was brand new. toiletries were lovely - shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, soap, flannel, cotton buds, cotton pads; hairdryer, kettle with ample tea & coffee, flat screen tv and an electric... Myself and four friends stayed at this hotel for 2 nights over the weekend of 11 May, it was the start of our Scottish adventure and i don't think we could have picked a better place to stay in the whole city, for the price it cost and for the standard of facillities and service, we were met with a... I am so glad that I checked TripAdvisor and booked this hotel for our recent two night stay in Edinburgh. We had a fabulous experience at this hotel. Let me start by saying that this was my fourth time in Edinburgh, and we had a car, so we did NOT want to stay extremely close to the Royal Mile or... More

What a great find !! Lovely clean room, comfortable bed & nice linens, bathroom with super shower & warming towel rack. Large Breakfast menu was included in the price. We had no trouble with the parking. Very quiet location & we were able to walk to see all the attractions in 15 - 20 minutes. Great pub nearby for dinner... More

We made a mistake relying on previous readers' assessment that this hotel was conveniently located near the centre of town. It is not. The closest bus stop is two blocks away and depending on the time of the day, your wait can easily be 15 minutes. Another 12-15 minutes to the centre of town. If you plan to have dinner... More

The only thing stopping me giving this hotel 5 star rating is the lack of car parking space, We were very very lucky when we arrived on Sunday afternoon that a space right outside the hotel became available as we arrived, there is no car park and it's just pot luck on the surrounding roads! However the Hotel itself was... More

OOPS, sorry about the parking but it does say on our Website that there is Free on street parking and unfortunately we cant guarantee a space, we do however have one space with the additional space in front of this so we can take two cars, also we are just at the edge of the City Center Parking Meters menace,... We stayed for 3 nights and had a great time. Annette & Max are incredibly good hosts. The room was very clean and comfortable and the shower was excellent. Breakfast was very good and had a selection of options. The last night we stayed, Max opened the bar and contributed to a cracking hangover with his generosity! A great place... More

Yes Indeed this reviewer found the Perfect Storm in the Hotel Ceilidh-Donia on that Sunday Night, it is unusual on a Sunday Night for almost all our Guests to want to have a Wee Dram for a Nightcap but it was indeed a very enjoyable night with all Nationalities mixing together in our Bar discussing Philosophy to Football from History... My girlfriend and I stayed here on an anniversary break to Edinburgh. The hotel is a lovely building located in a quiet residental street near Holyrood Park. It is a little bit out of the city centre but travelling in was no problem with a busy bus route on the main road a minute's walk away. Max and Annette were... More

Stayed here recently with my husband & my daughter & her family. Lovely cozy place. Max & Annette were great. Changed our room at the last minute to 1st floor because stairs are difficult for my husband. Also, Max drove us to castle when we could not get a 6 person cab on a windy sleety day. Rooms are clean... More

This reviewer has said in a few words possible our Ethos, to be of service and always help when and where we can, we never forget that you are on Holiday and it should be hassle free and great to know that our Golden retriever Keilidh is loved so much. P.s Our old Dod Keltic is not with us anymore... More
