As an exchange student traveling to Europe for the first time, I could not ask for a better welcome to my euro adventure. With Edinburgh being one of the most spectacular cities in the world to explore, the Cluaran Guest House is situated in a nice and quiet part of town that not only serves as a convenient launch-pad to... We stayed at the Cluaran for four nights and we were treated well throughout. Taxis were booked for us , breakfast was superb (apparently the porridge was good too but I can't do porridge after several years of being force fed the stuff at boarding school) and the room was cosy and well furnished. My boyfriend and I stayed at the Cluaran for 3 nights during a long weekend in Edinburgh. We had a wonderful stay, the room was lovely and clean and we both had a fantastic nights sleep! The breakfast in the morning was delicious! The house overall is beautiful with many period features and overall we really enjoyed our stay!! More

Just when you think the Cluaran is at its peak, it has reached a higher level. We've grown accustomed to the luxurious cosiness/comfy beds/lovely and healthy breakfast/and so on and on, but to find out during our last (and certainly not final) stay that Ali and Noreen spent some hard earned cash on flatscreen tv's, free wifi and docking stations... I stayed for a few nights in the single room at Cluaran. The single room has a separate, private bathroom on the same floor. I believe other rooms are all ensuites. The building dates back to 1860, so the floor is a bit creaky, but it is very cosy and welcoming, creatively and nicely decorated. The hosts are lovely. The... More

I stayed in this B&B guest house for three weeks and it was a very pleasant stay. There is a nice and friendly atmosphere, tasty breakfast and good recommendations for the next trip. The guest house can be highly recommended, the center is within walking distance but also close by some bus stops. Even so, it is very calm. More

We stayed in this really beautiful house again and we felt at home; everything was perfect: great room and really good breakfast buffet; Noreen and her husband are very professional and very kind. We will certainly return, we stayed here two years ago. The bathroom is new and all is extremely clean. The house is very easy to reach, bus... More

This delightful four star establishment in Edinburgh's dignified Bruntsfield district has a style all of its own winning it a memorable place in the heart of city guest house land. Each room has been carefully designed by its arty owners to combine comfort with quirkiness and provides the traveller with welcome respite from a world of hotel uniformity. Owners Noreen... More

We loved all about it and shall return. You can walk to the centre of town, but the B&B is very quiet and in a small residential road. More

My visit to Cluaran Guest House was superb. Friendly, family-style hospitality, beautiful rooms full of character and the most scrumptious breakfast made my stay a really memorable one. It is located about 10-15 minutes walk from the Royal Mile and is close to the bus for guests with sore travellers' feet. It was a great . It was the first... More
