The B&B is run by a retired American naval pilot, and there are American standards of comfort and decor. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable and rather expensive. The host is very gregarious.

We arrived last minute a couple of days ago and the stay was ideal. The 35+ steps climb to our room with luggage was a bit daunting but the view was absolutely worth it. The top floor room is possibly the largest we have stayed in here in The UK. The breakfast was well prepared and the fresh fruit was...

I can't imagine staying anywhere else should we return to St. Andrews! I had worried that we might be disappointed because there weren't as many reviews on Trip Advisor as some other establishments in town, but this place is small and so charming. We were sold on the pictures of the ivy cloaked walls, and, more so, the views of...

Castlemount came recommended by a friend and we were not disapppointed. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and plenty of room for 2 to sit comfortably should you wish. We had small but modern and well appointed en suites. Also have big flat screen TV's.
Lucky us the weather was fantastic and we were out most of the time.
The views...

Every morning was "just another routine morning in paradise!" Jerry and Linda-Anne (and...

Top notch breakfasts (try the pancakes with maple syrup all the way from Michigan!). A beautiful house full of charm and character. And to cap it all, jerry and Lynda-Anne - our welcoming...

This B&B is conveniently located near the old town, it has a terrific view of the ocean past castle ruins and within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants in town. Although somewhat cramped inside, Castlemount has a relaxing antique kind of charm to it. The rooms are somewhat small but the bed is comfortable, the bathrooms are modern and above...

I have just returned from a thoroughly delightful long weekend stay at Castlemount and have nothing but praise for every aspect of the house itself and the warm and friendly hospitality shown by the charming owners. Castlemount proved to be a real discovery. It must occupy one of the finest positions in St.Andrews, directly opposite the castle and coast, and...
