Great value for money, but sadly now demolished. A truly sad loss for Glasgow.
Due to the redevelopment of The Buchanan Quarter, this hotel and it's surrounding buildings were demolished at the start of 2012. The new building is at an advanced stage of development, and will include shops, offices and apartments in a style which will compliment the design of The Buchanan Gallaries Shopping Centre, opposite.
I loved how it was just 5 mins to the bus station as we were rushing in the early morning to catch the bus.
The staff was friendly and helpful, we were probably the first guests that morning and wanted breakfast at 5am, but they were able to provide simple cereal with milk breakfast and tea, with the reception leading...

I stayed at this hotel for 5 days as I was attending a five day dance course in Glagow. The room was very affordable and it was infact better than I expected for the low price. The staff were generally friendly and helpful. The room was adequate, spacious and I had an extra bed. On the third day of my...

What a shame this hotel is. Its location is excellent for the centre of Glasgow and could be so much better. Worn out bare carpets, windows that rattle and the place is just so noisy. To sum up this place in 1 word - dirty!
Stay here for 2 nights in mid Nov. You know that it's an old building, but that's alright, given it's only 40 pounds a night. I was luckily to be given a spacious double room with clean and bright, big toilet. Nice and friendly staffs in the reception. The hot breakfast has scramble egg, bacon, sausage, black budding, mushrooms, baked...

room was clean but there was a terrible noise, not from outside or the subway nearby but sounded like the water boiler.subway also makes a bit of noise through the night.the breakfast was fantastic though.
Oh Dear. Front desk kept me waiting for quite a while, and they were clearly harassed. I was given my room number, but twhen I got there the room hadn't been serviced at all- the sheets remained unchanged. They sent someone to do that staight away, but whilst I was waiting, in the bar, other guests were trying to get...

Good hotel for short stop overs. Hotel is right by the underground and the entrance to Queen street station. (Ideal for trains to the Highlands.) It is also only a short walk from Glasgow Central.
The staff are friendly and helpful.
The hotel itself is in need of updating. Furnishings are old and carpets thread bare in places. The plumbing...

Booked this room for one night---room was dirty, VERY noisy, no security whatsoever--people not
staying at the hotel coming in and out of the lobby---actually had to leave and find another
hotel as the room was directly at street level. On a Friday night in Glascow this translates into
drunken people walking directly underneath the window all night and nearby...
