£13 for fried frozen scampi, frozen chips and brown salad leaves at high tea.
G&T served with one ice cube in a cheap 1970's glass with a sliver of pickled lemon.

Thank you for taking the time to air your comments on your stay at the hotel. I am delighted you found our suite lovely, but was surprised you then only rated our accommodation at 60%!
The TV wasn’t working as a fuse had blown which was feeding the ariel to the rooms on that level. On the rare occasion you...

So far travelling on spec is working fabulously. We found this hotel while driving around Perth and its everything we could have asked for. Really interesting architecture - dating back to 1773. (With numerous renos since then). Lots of atmosphere. Very comfortable rooms with ensuite. Good beds. Great Scottish decor. Loads of history. And a real Scottish High Tea which...

I found myself stranded in Perth because of the great storm a couple of days ago - having stayed at another hotel for the past two nights, I called the George, obtained a great price and checked in. I was put in the Royal Stewart Room - ok, it doesn't have a river view but I was only there for...

This is a nice enough hotel with lots of really good points, however this review is based on the old adage that one or two negative issues can ultimately undo a truck-load of good ones.
The room was very nice and offered everything one would expect, further enhanced by the fact I was lucky enough to get a rear facing...
