We were visiting Ayr for a function in the Station Hotel and initially tried for a room there.. Now we're very happy we couldn't get one as it led us to Garth Madryn! Quiet, clean, comfortable and only 10 mins from the town centre. Our hosts were lovely and very accommodating... It was like being invited into their hone. We... More

First stay with Eileen and Jimmy but hopefully not the last! As hosts, they are second to none and made me feel welcome and very much at home in their house. My rooms were very comfortable and clean and everything I could want was provided. There was plenty on offer at breakfast and it was very tasty.

Just got back from a couple of days break from the daily grind, picked this place on price and location, wasn't disappointed. Eileen and Jimmy are great hosts. They'll do whatever you want for breakfast, room was clean, place was quiet. No one has mentioned that there is a late night tesco just down the road, good for supplies. Great... More

Lovely B&B, all you could want for a very reasonable price. Jimmy and Eileen went to great lengths to ensure a pleasant stay. Very warm and welcoming people. Extremely good value and great for the ferry and the airport.

Clean, quiet, comfortable, spacious, friendly - just what we needed. A lovely American couple were staying at the same time which added to the enjoyment of breakfast. So much more interesting and fun than being in a stuffy hotel. Thank you.

Stayed 3 nights, very comfortable and spotless ensuite with use of own lounge and access to Wifi, TV, and usual coffee/tea/kettle combo. Eileen and Jimmy very freindly couple, always an additional little treat in my breakfast to go. The accomodation is well located on a quiet road and a good nights sleep is almost guaranteed. Good value for money.

Great location and price. Very welcoming couple. Room was very comfortable with a huge en-suite. Wifi was available which was very handy. Plus I had a bike in my car and they kindly let me put it in the conservatory for safety.

If what you are looking for in a B&B is a warm welcome, comfortable accommodation with en-suite shower room and a delicious breakfast you must try Garth Madryn. Apart from offering the traditional breakfasts, Eileen has a few little surprises. You should ask about the Lemon yoghurt or the fresh quails' eggs. Is this enough? You'd like a beautiful garden?... Eileen and Jimmy are excellent hosts. My room was spacious, spotless and well equipped. En-suite was perfect - plentiful hot water. Breakfast was excellent - tailored to both of our wishes. All this plus a tour of the garden - grand.

We were staying in the Garth Madryn while going to a friend's wedding in Ayr, and were treated really well. It was like staying with people we'd known for a long time. Even gave us a key so we could get back in late from the wedding. Thanks for a great stay. Matthew Laurenson, Aberdeen.
