After being turned away from 4 other B&B's along the same road, we tried the Achill House for a place to stay. My wife and I stayed here 1 night. A ring on the doorbell and we were greeted by a younger woman, that didn't really introduce herself (still not sure what her name is). She stated that they had... More

This is by far one of the nicest places I have stayed in in a while! You can tell that the place is family run, which is one o the things that I have always loved about Irish b&bs! Being greeted at the front door by the owner and her kid (who is the sweetest most adorable kid ever) and... More

Stayed at Achill House for 9 days. A very pleasant place to stay in and an incredibly helpful staff. Excellent value for money to boot. City Centre location is another plus, being close to town and the Main University (UCC). Clean and pleasant too with an excellent internet connection. I would genuinely recommend Achill House to visitors of Cork.

Stayed in Achill House last weekend as I was attending a conference at UCC. I am a solo female traveller, on a student budget. My father gave me his card to book my two-night stay, priced at €110. I paid over the phone. After paying, I received a phonecall about five minutes after, saying that the B&B had been mistakenly... More

Greet you at the door friendly, perfect restaurant recommendation, quiet clean room, breakfast worthy of gobbling it all down, and an easy escape from Cork to the West. Loved it. Need an excuse to come back.

The Achilles House Staff were wonderfull to my husband and sister while I was in the hospital. They were wonderful to me while I recuperated in the B&B. the room was clean, bed linen changed daily and Breakfast delivered to my... More

It was nice to enjoy a cup of tea on arrival after getting lost, but that was my fault, Hanna really helped me over the phone and arrived eventually. The room though small was everything I needed, the bed excellent as were the pillows and wi fi. The room spotless and breakfast great. The guest house is in a great... More

My husband and I stayed at Achill House during our honeymoon and I was just getting over a terrible stomach bug. Helena, the wonderful owner, greeted us when we arrived and showed us our very clean and comfortable room. She prepared a simple soup for my stomach (which was the only thing I could keep down for days!), and I... More
