I recently booked two rooms for a 4 night stay at O'Shea's through Booking.com, believeing it to be an hotel. Upon arrival, my friend and I discovered it to be a pub and a very dingy, run down pub at that - vastly over priced given its condition and facilities (or lack of). It was so bad that we immediately... More

good value for money for a short break , rooms are clean and comfy though basic only drawback to rooms is that if you open window there is constant traffic noise , but we got used to it and did'nt bother us too much . Good breakfast and meals in evening were good quality although not much choice for vegetarians.... More

Staff were excellent, rooms were clean, only ate once in the evening but food was excellent and inexpensive, travelling with 3 other guys for the Rugby the place was packed particularly every morning for breakfast both the food and staff serving sets you up for the day. Entertainment was good quality and this added to the general ambience of the... More

This is a run-down pub packed at night with pissheads,. View from room is a flat roof resembling a rusting scrapyard. The whole place seems to be held together by old peeling wallpaper, and well worn grotty carpets. Rip- off drink prices Very good Cooked breakfast . Pleasant staff.

An old and fairly rundown establishment, O'Shea's , is at best, an inexpensive place to hang your hat at the end of the day. This place is probably a good example of the old adage that "you get what you pay for". I paid 65 € per night which is relatively inexpensive for Dublin's city center. What I got for... More

I would dispute your entire review of our property, I find your review to be offensive, inaccurate, lazy and with an agenda. Your comments do not stand up to scrutiny and completely at odds with other reviews posted on tripadvisor. We operate one of the most popular and well known bars in Dublin, Our Restaurant Numbers have increased by over... More

We booked 2 rooms and stayed with friends visiting from the US, its cheap, central, has a bar and the evening meal was excellent value for money, if your hungry try the baguette with steak, mushrooms and onions, real value for money.

The upside is that this hotel, aka rooms above a pub, is cheap and in a good position for close access to Temple Bar. Breakfast is pretty good. The rooms them self are in need of a facelift. The biggest issue is the noise from the bar that continued until 2:30am. Ok for those who will not return until after... More

I stayed 3 nights in September 2012. Overall, this is a pretty good hotel. Location & price is great. Breakfast was ok. Some negative things: there is no clear reception area. My room had a view to the a roof, where at times the staff moved about. The shower works but it makes a terrible noise. Some nights they play... More
