I booked a standard room in The Gresham to meet up with 3 college friends from over 20 years ago, so we really just needed a bed for the night so we were absolutely delighted when we were met with wonderful checkin service who ensured we had interconnecting rooms. When we got to the room they had been newly decorated... More

First stay - I had reasonably high expectations from this property based on the reviews and photos. The facade of classic architecture and images of spacious guest rooms drew me in. On check-in I was greeted by friendly staff in the well-appointed lobby with a terrific looking bar and I thought I had a great find. However, when I got... More

When I arrived there was a 10 minute wait, Thomas was on his own as his colleague was on a break. My initial room was noisy as there was a generator near the window, I settled for a room at the front of the hotel, which wasn't ideal (closing the windows made no or very little to the traffic noise).... Centrally placed at the heart of Dublin. I stayed two nights. Nice and clean room, cosy atmosphere worth paying for though a bit expansive. Very nice and friendly personnel. More

Location Centrally located, nice pubs around and a short walk to the Liffey and city centre. Hotel A big hotel with lots of rooms and quite some distance to walk to your room. Parking with direct acess from the hotel. Had a special rate for we were rebooked from our reserved hotel to this hotel the day of our arrival.... More

Pros: room was more or less spacious, at least mine had a separate living area. Good location. The windows can open for a bit of fresh air. Cons:Room 609 is really far out. Elevator goes up only to 5th floor, then you have to take the stairs and walk for quite a bit. The hotel as a whole could do... More

We stayed here for a night after attending a wedding on the outskirts of town for a couple of day. Wanted a place that was comfortable and central so that we could explore town during the day and hit Temple Bar for the evening. The Gresham delivered. It's a good old example of an Irish Hotel - I have to... More

Pluses: the tourists buses stop around the corner from the hotel, which is fantastic. The airlink bus to the airport is 6 euros and stops by the hotel, which is fantastic as well. O'Connell street is an excellent location, if the weather is good and you enjoying walking then there are a lot of sites close by. Trinity College, the... More

This was our last two days of a 12 day trip. By this time we were used to small rooms. The location is very good. You can pick a full Irish breakfast or for $5 euro a smaller breakfast that is plenty and sit in a bar surrounded by windows looking out to the busy city streets. It was great... More
