Stayed at the Anchor Guesthouse as it came highly recommended from friends, and it didn't disappoint. The location was just ideal, walking distance from everywhere. But what really impressed us was the high level of service and the friendly staff. They were so welcoming from the moment we checked in and could not have done enough for us. This was... More

The location is good, the price is right, and the place is clean and friendly. The breakfast is just OK,. Right next to the bus station (3 minutes walk) for buses to the airport. Would stay here again. More

I carefully read the reviews of every place we consider staying while on vacation. This b&b was no different. The reviews were for the most part all very positive. I agree that the staff was friendly and very helpful. Our room was tiny, but clean. That was to be expected. We could not get wifi in our room, so we... More

We stayed at the Anchor House in Dublin for one night in April 2012. This B&B is conveniently located within walking distance of many of the attractions in Dublin. Our room was in the rear of the property and was clean and comfortable, albeit a bit small. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was nice. There is... More

This B & B is in a great location for touring, but it's very near to the rougher part of town. While it is not actually IN the rougher part of town, just make sure you are careful not to get lost and wind up there. The rooms are very very small, but adequate and clean. The owners were very... More

We spent 2 nights at this B & B in May 2012. The B & B is centrally located, the rooms are basic and the staff very friendly and helpful. The beds aren't the most comfortable and the rooms are a bit of a tight squezze. However if you want a basic B & B at a reasonable price, then... More

Friendly courteous staff. Good location. Never felt crowded. Competitively priced. Warm lobby/reading room. WiFi got to my room Cons: * Another patron fiddling with his smoke detector blew the fuse and one night we were without electricity or water pressure and the subsequent morning w/o hot water. * Only toiletries supplied: one small bar of soap * By booking on... We stayed at the Anchor House for 1 night. We requested a quieter room at the back of the house and our request was accommodated. Our room was a clean and quite large with the bathroom slightly dated but also clean and reasonably sized. When we laid on the bed for a rest we quickly realised that each time we... More

We stayed in the Anchor House for three nights and liked it a lot. The house was nice, with a wonderfull sitting room and friendly and helpful staff. Our room was a bit dark, but otherwise fine. I had feared it might be loud in the street at night, but nothing more than city noises. We slept well. We also... More
