Treating my Hubby to a night away for his birthday. I chose the Regency mainly due to it's location - Close to family, friends, walking distance to the sea (Although it is a good long walk so be prepared), good pubs & restaurants. On checking in the receptionist exclaimed we had 'The best room in the hotel' so I was... More

Ever dreamed about traveling back in time? Well, its easy now - book a room in the Regency Hotel Dublin and you"ll be beamed stright into the 80's. Smelly Rooms, old carpets, uncomfortable, very very old beds, empty corridors with flashing lights... Remember " The Shining" ? Well while walking to my room which happened to be like 15 minutes... This hotel looks a bit run down has that musty smell in corridors but the main reason I will never stay here again is because I asked for a late check out at reception his name was flora or something like this. he basically said not a hope and every hour I was not checked out past 12 I would... We stayed at the hotel for three days in May and could not be more satisfied. I contacted the hotel with some questions in advance and they immediately got back to me within an hour. They saved us an expensive cab ride by clearly explaining how to take a #16 bus from the airport which drops you off in front... More

My Husband and I recently stayed at this Hotel for 3 nights in April 2012. The Reception staff were helpful and efficient when checking in, but not really forthcoming with maps of Dublin and how to get anywhere , such as transport into town. We were upgraded to a " better room", which was quite well appointed, a large bed... More

This hotel is located closer to the airport than central Dublin. The cab fare from O'Conelly street is 11 euros. The hotel offers free wifi throughout and the signal is consistent and strong enough for email and FB updates. The room was spacious. We had two beds, one queen and one twin. The room is dark and musty, but turning... More

I understand that as a hotel-close-to-the-airport guests probably know not to expect too much, but I was frankly pretty shocked at the state of this inaptly named hotel. The walls of our room are paper thin, with various holes, cracks, stains around the room, as well as peeling paint around the door frames and the bath-tub leaks. There are only... More

This hotel is really really nice, lovely clean quite large rooms although we seemed to walk miles to reach it as there are a lot of corridors. The food was nice but we went with the national bus trip and felt we were ignored on our second night didnt get served till 8pm although it was supposed to be 7.30.... More

I have stayed here twice and have enjoyed my stay each time. Unfortunately as both my trips were short I did not have time to check out the amenities of the hotel but the price is extremely reasonable. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are clean. The rooms are basic but more then adequate. The only criticism I... More
