Dangerous needs 24 hour security. Bedroom depressing. Mattress sagging and disgusting, pillows likewise. Odour of stale urine disguised with disinfectant- ugh! Location good but over 10 neighbouring better hotels to opt for.

I stayed in George Frederic Handel hotel for one night. Location is great: It's very close to Temple Bar, and only about a 10-minute walk from Trinity College and Grafton Street. The room was very pleasant, overlooking the river. The WiFi network was working well, the water pressure in the bath was good, and happily there was an iron &... More

Stayed 4 nights and could not have found anything better in Dublin. Great location, lovely breakfast, clean room. Best of all were the welcoming, enthusiastic staff - the barman, receptionists and the very hardworking breakfast ladies - all just great! Would love to go back and spend even longer at the GFH!

Just 5 min walk away from were the action is, but nice and quiet rooms, just about everything on walking distance. Friendly staff, nice breakfast. Great place to stay if you're looking for the right city mix!

This hotel is in a great location, just outside temple bar. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The ooms are lovely, very clean and the decor is beautiful. Complimentary water, tea coffee biscuits and sweets were a lovely surprise! We would definately stay here again.

Just around the corner from the Temple Bar area, this nice little hotel was clean, comfy and quiet; just what we needed after our overnight flight from Toronto to explore Dublin for the first time. It's just off the main street so we got a great two-nights' sleep after exploring the city.

This hotel is centrally located and has easy access to bus tours and other transport links. The rooms are clean and well kept. The service from the staff is excellent and they are exceptionally helpful. The breakfasts ( included in our package) were tasty and filling. Again, the service was wonderful. We didn't eat any other meals in the hotel.... More

The staff at the reception desk at the George Handel Frederick were exceptional. They made me feel welcome, and remembered me from E-mail communications prior to my stay. I came for one night, left for a weekend tour for one night, returned for six nights, left again overnight and returned for two additional nights. They stored my suitcase for me... More

With the Temple District just around the corner, this is an excellent location. Our room was 201 opposite the elevator, but we were not disturbed by other guests. At night some street noise of drunken youngsters (Saturday night!) can disturb the rest. We used ear plugs. Breakfast of good quality. Room rather small, but sufficient. Basic bathroom with a too... The George Frederic Handel Hotel is located on Fishamble street in Temple bar. Although the hotel was built in 1996, it is located on one of the most historically important streets in Dublin. The site on which the hotel now stands once housed the music hall where Handel’s "Messiah" was first preformed. All of our bedrooms are en-suite with bath and shower, flat screen 32" satellite TV, direct dial telephone, hot beverage facilities and crisp white linen.
