We were looking for a nice but inexpensive place to stay for a weekend in Dublin, and the Hampton Hotel fit the bill. The Hampton Hotel is a pleasant twenty minute walk away from St Stephen's Green. Otherwise, there is a bus stop directly in front of the hotel, and the ride into town is inexpensive (around 1.70 euro, I... More

We stayed here for two nights; everything was great, especially the receptionist, she was so polite and helpful for us. But this hotel is a little far from the city center. It’s probably a good 25-minute walk to the city, and then you need to walk to all the attractions. It didn’t really bother us, over all, we liked this... More

Highly recommendable. Excellent rooms, in walking distance from center town. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Many reasons to go back! If there were fitness facilities, it be more than perfect. More

This hotel is a fine hotel in a quiet neighborhood just south-east of the center. The room was very large, with a great bath. Big windows, nive TV, even a somewhat odd fake fireplace (an image of dancing flames) operated by remote control. The staff were all friendly and helpful. It took us 20 minutes to walk in to the... Found the Hampton to be a reasonable four star. A good 20 min walk into the centre of things, or about 8 quid in a taxi. Rooms are a good size and the huge telly is a nice plus. The only thing I'd change is the breakfast - really average. Average prices too, but not 4 star in the slightest.... More

I absolutely loved staying at the Hampton Hotel. I had previously stayed at other hotels around Dublin that cost more and gave the customers less. I was extremely pleased with the Hampton Hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms were large and very comfortable. I especially enjoyed the fireplace and the DVD player. I would highly recommend... More

Stayed here for a weekend in early April, 2012. Very nice hotel, modern inside, rooms rather spacious for European hotel and was a great price. Hotel staff reception and checkout staff was very nice, bartenders not as attentive as you find elsewhere in Dublin. In the suburbs a bit and not in the "heart" of downtown Dublin...if you want to... I cannot say enough good about my stay at Hampton. First, it's a 5-8 min bus ride into the heart of City Centre depending on how south or north you want to go. So very easily placed. And you're in Donnybrook which has some good restaurants and pubs too if you want in the evening. Second, the rooms are nicely... More

Everything you would want in a hotel, great rooms, excellent service, parking and great location. Room was really lovely large plasma, fire, great space and lovely decor. The only flaw I could find was the shower, small shower head and not very powerful, but that is really picking! More

Our room was spacious and had trendy decor. The huge flat screen TV and fireplace were impressive. The location in Donnybrook is great. A 20 minute walk to city center or short bus/taxi ride. You are in a great neighborhood with cafes, pubs, restaurants and a fantastic food market. The bar/bistro was good for drinks, food and live entertainment. There... More
