A collegue and I stayed in this Guest House in Dublin for a promotion we were running end April this year. the guest house is in a very quiet location , which was nice as it meant there was no traffic noise at night. However I got the distinct feeling that they really only like to be paid in cash.... More

I was a repeat guest so gave the place a second chance but found rooms small, things broken, and people in the room next too us noisy - could here every word they were saying - house too small to be a B&B. I had to cancel booking on last occasion and owner took the money for three nights regardless... More

i was very surprised by the treatment i received, considering the customer service i had been given on the phone. The room was a single with a double bed in it, no room to swing a cat. I found the host very mean, when i asked for a bagel with my breakfast, i was told it was part of a... More

I had a big family gathering in Dublin and wanted to get in some touristy stuff and clubbing (though just went to The George as it was great fun). Didn't want to break the bank on Dublin hotels as I didn't think I'd actually use my room much but didn't want to stay in some pit at £30 a night... More

Was there for one night. Was asked to email my booking. I stated I needed breakfast at 7am as I was leaving on the ferry. Booking was accepted. Turned up, I was given a very thorough briefing of local amenities, normally, nice, but said I have my plans, dinner with a friend already, am tired. Response was "oh you just... More

Maria and Alan were fabulous and friendly hosts! They stayed up late for my arrival, helped tremendously with bus schedules to and from Dublin, and had a filling breakfast spread in the morning-- all for the best price I paid for a B&B on my whole trip! They are easy to get to from the airport on the 16A and... More

I had a great stay at Almara, Alan was very accommodating and helpful. Breakfasts were hearty and kept me going through the day. The room was kept nice and warm and overall I found the location handy to the city, while being out of the noise and bustle of the centre of Dublin. Would highly recommend for a peaceful stay... The room was really small and in need of some repair - not comfortable, couldn't connect with the internet, no telephone to use at all (inconvenient), felt uncomfortable bothering Alan to ask questions except when we saw him at breakfast. Breakfast was good, but limited choices so if you stay for more than 2 or 3 days it's very repetitive.... More

I had a lovely stay here with my family recently. Alan was very helpful and accomodating at all times. The room was lovely and breakfast perfect. Good location from point of view of airport and buses nearby go into town. Highly recommend. More
