Very cozy small hotel almost in the heart of Dublin. With lovely Victorian style design. I think, my (not ensuite) room was nicest in the hotel:)) Very friendly and welcoming stuff, always ready to help. Breakfasts was hearty and delicious. I like this place, and my friend who came to see me said, that next time she is sure to... More

It is nice to hear a guest praising one of our basic rooms. Anastasia is correct, of course, Room 11 is a very nice and cosy room. We describe it as 'our garden-level basic single room'. Many people will not be aware that we have a small city garden to the rear of our Georgian house. Those who occupy Room... More

We had heard from our friend Cathy in Tasmania about Fatima House and several other places to stay in Ireland. We liked what we heard about this Dublin city centre location. We also had read reviews about the owner who goes out of his way to entertain guests. We loved it from the minute we arrived. It was clean and... More

the rooms were dirty and smelt, the ensuite bathroom was a toilet,shower/sink stuck in a corner of the room with a sliding door that was stuck so no privacy, the breakfast was ok, but its down in the basement so not a nice setting at all, although the owner was friendly and it was near the town its worth paying a... Since TripAdvisor came into being, Fatima House has been reviewed online many times. I am happy to report that our ranking has always been more than satisfactory. We have enjoyed an approval rating of 90% or thereabouts for many years. There are many other establishments throughout the world with similar rankings and I am certain that not one, at that... More

Fatima House is maybe one of the cheapest accomodations, that can be found in Dublin, but nontheless it serves everything you need at your stay. Almost central location (all important sights and cultural interests within walking distance), it servers a comfortable bed (with clean linen every day) and a satisfying irish breakfast quasi ad libitum. The rooms and the bathrooms... More

Nice and comfortable BnB (5min to O'Connell's st.) Niall (your host) is welcoming and will give you very good advices. Irish breakfast every morning ! It's good for health, is n't it ? Look at all paintings on the walls (don't forget a little donkey, on your right in the entrance !) And a little garden : very nice smoking... More

My partner and I stayed here for two nights and while it was OK it was nothing special. There is only one ensuite room which we booked - it's a twin on the top floor; normally you can push the beds together but not here... they were head to head with a dresser in the middle; we were in the... More

I'm finding it strange to hear stories about there being no hot water. The room here has a proprietary pumped system by Triton. It has 3 controls - one for flow, one for heat (colour-coded) and the final one for on/off. We never run short of hot water - if this was experienced then the user was 1) not waiting... More

We had a double room on the top floor. The room smelled terribiy of cigarette smoke, there was mildew in the bathroom, the toilet seat was not attached to the toilet, the room was dusty and generally unclean. My parents stayed in a different room and had a very uncomfortable bed and no hot water for three days. The breakfast... More

In relation to the supply of hot water to rooms, people have to bear in mind that Fatima House is a heavily modified Georgian house (married to a modern extension at the rear) which has been added to (internally) for hundreds of years. This type of ad hoc structure gives rise to plumbing anomalies such as those related by the... More

We (my daughter and I) were in Dublin to organize a period of staying abroad for study and we found in Fatima House the best location we could. The B&B infact is only 15 minutes walking (10 il you're good walker) and 5 minutes with bus from O'Connel street, that means a few minutes more to Temple Bar. In front of... More

I sincerely recommend this hospitable B&B! It takes 10 minutes to reach the city centre by foot. Niall, the nice owner, will advise you the best and less touristic places in Dublin and on its coast. For example, one of the last days, during the generous and delicious breakfast, Niall recommended us a visit, by train, of Joyce Tower in... More
