Stayed here one night for the Connemara marathon, had to leave early so didn't get a chance to sample the breakfast. Hotel is a bit old fashioned but had everything I needed. Location is convenient to walk into town & value is good.

This hotel is above a pub in Lower Salthill. Its pretty basic and small but room was clean, central and very reasonable - €45 for a single room. I was at the Spanish Arch after only 10mins walking so great location. Missed breakfast so can't comment. Not for people who hit to bed early but can't fault the place.

Stayed there a few moths ago it is quite near the hospital. The room was clean The bed was clean and comfortable I got a good sleep Clean bathroom, plenty hot water Nice breakfast Nice staff. I would go again Good value for money

At 35 euro a night you're not expecting luxury and high end facilities. Wards is solid, comfortable accommodation. The rooms are clean and basic. Stayed here on a week night and got it for €35. Really good value but if you stay in Room 10 your over the smoking area of the outside bar. Can get noisy. Good breakfast and nice people run it so I'd stay again.

€65 per room per night. 15 mins walk to city. It's more like a b&b, not a hotel! Double room very small, but clean. Our room was on the top floor, nearly like in the attic, no lift. It's nothing fancy, but for €65 per night it's not bad. Staff were very friendly. Location was good.

We decided to ignore the bad reviews on here and booked to stay at Wards as we couldn't find anywhere cheaper and so close to all the action in Salthill. Thank goodness we did!
