Excellent location in a quite place, 15 minutes from city center, 5 minutes from the sea. A lovely family, a lovely dog, confortable bedroom and very good breakfast! I will go back for another wonderful stay in Galway. Thank you Briddie! Yolanda More

We chose to stay w/ Bridie without any reference other than the Irish B&B Internet pages. We are so glad we picked Sli Na Mara. Bridie invited us in as if we were her family right from the outset. Her home is immaculate, and breakfast was plentiful and delicious. She assisted us w/ travel suggestions, reference materials for geneology research,... More

We stayed in Sli Na Mara for 2 nights in April while on holiday in Galway and would definitely come back. This homely B&B is indeed a short walking distance from all the action yet it is in a quiet residential area of this lovely city. Runners and walkers would especially appreciate the location - the place is literally a... More

We stayed here for just one night but it was a great place. Excellent location - walking to pretty much everything but away from the noises for a peaceful nights sleep. Really friendly hosts, gave us information on where to go next and were very welcoming. They even gave us easter eggs as we stayed on Easter Sunday - nice... More

Birdie Thomson, the owner of this lovely Bed and Breakfast is a delightful, hard-working hostess. She was very kind, energetic and personable to our party. We had a blast, the home, private bedrooms and pretty, ideal location were perfect. Her full Irish breakfast was delcious and filling. Can't say enough about this welcoming home in the ideal location--a short and... More

My husband and I stayed here for three nights at the beginning of December while touring the west coast of Ireland. The location, both in Galway, and on the west coast was excellent. In Galway, we were within walking distance of pretty much everything we wanted to do. This was great since we could then indulge in a few pints... More

Hi Heidi, Thank you for writing your review on trip advisor. I do hope your stay was overall a good experience. I was a little surprise to read that you felt cold in your room I would never want this for any of my guests. It is a shame that you didn't ask for the heating to be switched on... More

After over 30 hours travel from Brisbane, Australia I arrived in Galway and at Sli Na Mara absolutely exhausted. I was immediately greeted cheerfully by Bridie who showed me to my room. Later that evening I was struck with a violent case of food poisoning (from the plane). If I was to get sick anywhere on my trip I'm glad... More

We arrived in Galway in the afternoon and walked to Sli Na Mara. The walk felt a bit long with our bags and we did have some trouble finding it initially. It is located in a quiet neighborhood. Bridie was very welcoming and hospitable. Breakfast was delicious! We walked to Salthill and back to Galway several times during the visit... More

The Bed and Breakfast belong to a young family with a little child and a dog. (You didn't hear none of them because they live on an annexe). The rooms are arranged very nice and you feel very comfortable. We enjoyed our Irish breakfast. The family was very lovely, considerate and helpful. They gave us good tips what can we... More

Bridie was incredibly sweet & helpful throughout our stay in Galway- especially in offering advice for repairing our flat tire. Located conveniently close to Galway center, water, & 15 minute walk to salt hill. be sure to get good directions to the b&b before arriving though because it is kind of tucked around a corner & gps had a hard...
