We stayed as a base camp for climbing Carantoohill. Its a grand spot. The bar serves qaulity pints and you can have a bit of craic with the locals. They have a pool table too. I cannot account for the glowing review in Fodors. The Inn did not at all resemble this description. They could not provide hiking information. The food consisted of warmed over precooked meats and canned vegetables and the pub smelled strongly of mold. We do not recommend this hotel. There are much better places for the same price or less! More
