Dear Guest, Thank you for your very positive feedback and it is wonderful for the property to be referred to as a "gem." I am delighted that you enjoyed our breakfast chef, Vida's, delicious homemade jams, whose recipies are always enquired about. Great effort is put in by the Head Chef John and his team, to ensure that the majority... More

They have secure parking so if your travelliing on a motorbike then this is ideal. The rooms were of a very high standard and very clean, the fishworks restaurant was very good and the staff were very friendly. Dear Guest, Our secure parking is ideal for all vehicles, but is also particularly appropriate for the many vintage car rally, large cycling and of course motor bike groups. Good to hear you enjoyed the comforts of our guest rooms after your long day on the road and that the food offering throughout the property was memorable. On your next... More

Eexcellent no hassle hotel on Clew Bay. Access within miles to Achill, Killary Harbour, Kylemore Abbey, Connemara to mention a few. Very friendly staff. Fish Works Restaurant was very good. Would recommend this hotel for location and hospitability. Would certainly stay again if in that area. Didn't use spa so no comment there More

Dear Guest, Delighted you enjoyed the peaceful location of the Carlton Atlantic Coast Hotel, best summed up as "on the shores of Clew Bay, in the shadow of Croagh Patrick..." As you rightly pointed out Westport is a fantastic destination, offering hugh choices in activities, attractions and of course wonderful, unique Irish scenery. As always, great to get the positive... My husband and I stayed at this hotel over the Easter holidays for 2 nights. We had booked the hotel for €50 B+B (facebook offer) so great deal. The room was lovely. We were over looking the car park but we didn't mind. We weren't in the room much. Excellent shower. We ate both nights in the Fishworks cafe -... More

Dear Guest, Delighted you enjoyed your experience with us and that Fishworks Cafebar provided you with a memorable dining experience. While Fishworks is now known for its simple fresh seafood dishes, it is also a great spot to enjoy a quiet or lively pint in the bar. Apologies for the issues you experienced in relation to the noise, but good... More

We spent one night in the Carlton Atlantic for a family event. We bought a special offer deal for one night B&B and dinner from an event in December and had numerous problems trying to arrange dates with the hotel and a sudden explanation of special terms and conditions not explained at the time of sale. Having finally secured a... More

We have stayed in this hotel several times since it began business. The location is stunning, making clever use of the frontage of the old Westport harbour warehouses. The rooms are clean and furnished in a modern, classy style, and staff are happy to facilitate your requests for harbour view or otherwise. The Atlantic Coast Restaurant, on the top floor... More

Dear Guest, The stone face front of the Carlton Atlantic Coast was restored when builiding to maintain the "Old Mill" appearance; which is what the building began as almost a century ago. This appearance, coupled with the tranquil Quayside setting, adds to the charm and character of the property. Great always to get feedback from guests who enjoyed the overall... More

This has been our second time to stay at this hotel.Again for the second time in succession we were located overlooking the car park.I just wonder how room selection process is carried out. The room was adequate however the tv was not tuned in properly. The channels that were available suffered from constant reception interruption. This was extremely frustrating. Also mobile coverage... Dear Guest, It is a great shame that as a return guest we could not deliver a truly positive experience for you. We have a consistent maintenance programme in place, which focuses on pro-active guest bedroom maintenance, but your room was quite overlooked on this occasion. This issue has been reviewed with both our Accommodation and Maintenance manager to ensure... More

We paid €160 euro to stay in this hotel in March for one night. Was surprised how small the room was and don't know why people make a big deal about having a front view because it was nothing special and we had to keep curtains closed for privacy. The bar was nice enough but the selection of food was... More

Dear Guest, Very unfortunate to read your comment that would not return to us. It is also of great concern to learn of your poor dining experience, especially in reference to your fish dish, which as you you can see from other posts, is usually a great source of delight. I must apologise for the billing issue that you experienced... More

Dear Guest, It is great to hear positive feedback relating to the overall "atmosphere" you experienced at the Carlton Atlantic Coast Hotel. All of the team works extremely hard to create a welcoming, warm and truly relaxing experience. While this is created through factors such as, light, heat, music, updating of soft furnsishings amongst others, it is the Carlton Atlantic... More

I have just returned from a 3 night stay and must say that both my wife and I were very impressed with all aspects of the hotel.
