We stayed on the river side on the 4th floor. Our room was comfortable and kept clean, staff was pleasant. Food in the breakfast buffet was pretty good, although not as good as what you would get when purpose made for your plate as opposed to an open buffet. Bar staff was very nice, wifi in the bar area was... More

Brilliant hotel right in centre of Sligo. I have stayed there twice before and both times were great. The restaurant let it down this visit though. We opted for the set menu, one of our group ordered pâté and it was rancid, sent it back and it was replaced with a soup but nothing in the way of an apology... More

Just back from a 2 BB break there. We both loved it. It is a very trendy modern hotel. The room was perfect. Breakfast was very good, plenty of fresh fruit available. The homemade scones on the second morning were to die for, also the white crusty bread. The dinning room is located along side the river and the morning... More

The idea of the hotel is nice, and so is its location. Beds and Bathroom are clean, but chairs are old and stained, carpet is old and stained, nets on windows were torn, and the wardrope had a big piece of pressboard missing. The food in the restaurant had wierd combinations like red pepper sauce on white fish. However wine... More

I organised a hen night with the glasshouse before Christmas and it took place in March. I wanted a central location with a bit of class for a 'grown-up' hen weekend and I was really impressed with the hotel, the staff, the service in general and the food. The staff were always friendly and accommodating and were extremely helpful with... More

This hotel is in a great location but could really do with a good clean. First impressions when we got to reception were not good. The carpet was dirty and the seats looked grubby. The bedroom was spacious and very contemporay but really need to be updated. The chairs were covered in stains and the lockers and wardrobes were tired.... More

I stayed here a few weeks ago with my boyfriend. I have been here before and been to other hotels in Sligo as well. The Glasshouse is my favourite though. The location is ideal and with their free car park you really couldn't ask for more. In a city centre hotel in Galway you could pay up to €20 a... More

I booked the Glasshouse for my husband's suprise 30th 5 weeks before it and I called to confirm 3 times during this time to be sure that the suprise went as planned. We had stayed in the Glasshouse before and thought it was lovely. We were travelling up from Mayo and my husband's brother and wife were coming from London.... More

I booked a corporate rate (69 euro) as I was in Sligo for business and got a lovely room overlooking the river with a balcony. I ate in the bar as I was watching a match - the food was nice but the service was poor in the bar. Seemed to be lots of staff but very little interaction with... More
