George H Many thanks for your recent review. We try to keep our house as clean as possible as well as providing a good breakfast and while we are not lavish as you say but we are continuing to refurbish each year but due to low room rates and high running costs we were only able to refurbish 3 bathrooms... We found The Faythe Guesthouse to be totally comfortable and convenient. Damian and Siobhan Lynch are wonderful hosts. They were extremely helpful with advice about things to do and places to eat in the area. They made reservations for us at a wonderful restaurant and provided us with a very helpful map of the area noting their recommended restaurants. The... More

We stayed here for one night at the end of March for the bank holiday weekend. We have stayed in plenty of hotels in Wexford as it is one of our favourite places in Ireland and Faythe Guesthouse is better than most of them. It's location is perfect - less than a five minute walk to the centre of town!... More

Stayed for just one night in March 2013 during exceptionally bad weather. We received a very warm welcome, and Damian put the heating on early just for us. We were given good advice on local restaurants, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and there was a good choice of breakfast options, including kedgeree, vegetarian options, fruit, yogurt etc. Would stay... My wife and I stayed there last saturday night and we both thought the place was brilliant,. The owners were so friendly the atmosphere great and the food excellent. We loved Wexford in general and Faythe house contributed to that hugely. We will be back. By the way Damien. just how do you pronounce " Faythe"?

Bert, Many thanks for your review. we take pride in cooking the fresh produce each morning espically the soda bread. The name "Faythe" causes great conversation among our guests. It means either fare or open space, it has taken me many years of research and these are the most common suggestions of the meaning. When it comes to pronounceing the... More

Stayed here in August 2010 (i think) with my family and it was nice overall, nothing wrong with the rooms, didn't particularly like the green, but the beds were comfy and the sheets were pretty big, which is a good thing, for me at least. Free wifi was good, the router was outside my door but it kept dropping off... More

Dear Jake Brennan, Many thanks for recent review. Delighted you enjoyed your stay and disappointed that some aspects were not as enjoyable. With such a large building we have many free wifi routers and hence we have an alternative method to gain access to the internet. In December 2010 we also upgraded our wifi to a better and faster service... More

We stayed here in July and I kept meaning to write a review! This guest house is really quaint, olde world, with great breakfasts and home made muffins and cold water bottles for the train ride back to Dublin. It has the personal touch that many B&Bs do not and indeed would encourage me to stay in B&Bs more often,... More
