The reason for the poor rating I've given is the cost. For about half of what we paid, this would have been a more than acceptable one- to two-star hotel. There are some good things -- the staff are exceptionally polite and friendly and the breakfast was quite good (though the coffee was dreadful). The problem is really that there's... More

Avoid if you like to sleep. On check given room 201 right above entrance to hotel. Incredible racket from night club until 3, then at 8 the staff were hanging outside smoking and talking loud enough to be heard two floors up. Complained the next morning. Offered the bridal suite which was.....room 101 underneath where we were and closer to... More

From a brief read of other reviews, it seems our experience was the same as that of a lot of other people - the hotel is pretty average and quite dated inside, but the food in the restaurant is really good. We spent 2 nights there and during that time they had Celine Dion playing on a constant loop in... More

As others have mentioned, this Hotel is kind of the only act in town. It was kinda overpriced for what it was, and the hotel lobby and guestrooms were rather outdated. One major highlight was our dinner at Al Mondo restaurant. As a former New Yorker, I'm picky about pizza. Their brick oven offerings were out of this world fantastic. More

Hotel is dated and a bit noisy, but staff are friendly and our room was large with a comfy bed. The hotel bar and restaurant are'nt very inviting but over our experience of the place was fine. More

Having stayed here 2 years ago I was dissapointed with room. The room wasn't in the best condition and needed attention. The room wasn't clean, their was blood on one of the pillow cases. However, the staff were fantastic and were very helpful! More

Room - Double Room. (€180 for two nights for two people with breakfast). Room: Positives: Nice size. The room had a double bed and 1 single bed. Comfy beds. Very clean. Negatives: You can hear everything from outside. People just talking sounded very loud. Your basic bathroom and room. On the hotel itself: Very overpriced. Its like a big b&b... More

We stayed at the Grand Hotel for one night. €80.00 for a double room with no breakfast. The room was in desperate need of a repaint. The bath was stained and the shower was nothing more than a trickle!. A friend also stayed here on the same night, and for a single room with breakfast cost him €90.00, were still... More

We have stayed in the Grand but not for many years, so cannot comment on the hotel rooms. This review is to provide information about Wynne's bar and restaurant. The food is excellent and comes in very generous portions. Nothing too fancy, but you always find something tasty on the menu, and the prices are very reasonable. The staff are... More
