This travelodge is just outside the pretty village of Eye Green about 5 miles from the centre of Peterborough. It is very easy to find (even through my Sat Nav took me through the village) and it has a Little Chef attached to it. Behind is a 24hr garage, which I was worried about because of the possible noise but... More

Hotel, although central, is near some rough looking bars and clubs, and behind the market. As a female travelling solo, I didn't fancy coming back after dark. My room was quite tired, no chair at the desk, no remote for the tv, and only one teaspoon which didn't look as though it had been washed properly. Parking is adjacent, at... More

Beware of some of the reviews on this page - there is a HUGE difference between the Travelodge at Peterborough (Eye Green) (this page) and the Travelodge in the centre of Peterborough. Unfortunately several of the reviews seem to be confusing the two. This particular Travelodge is on the outskirts of the pretty village of Eye, a few miles outside... More

when you consider what you would expect from a travelodge and I'm not being rude when I say this...but all you expect is somewhere to lay your head, nothing spectacular. but we were pleasantly surprised, we have stayed at a travelodge before and that was quite tired and battered, but this one was nice, well presented and very friendly staff... I wanted a budget hotel - I don't expet the Ritz. but I want basic, clean and safe for my money. Our room was cleanish but smelt a little like an old lockeroom. The bed was like a prison bed with pillows that could have doubled up as coasters they were so thin. I ordered an Iron from reception when... More

Book elsewhere - tired, shabby and not that clean. Try elsewhere. More

Booked a room for a one night stop over en route to home. Reception staff were polite and helpful. Room was clean and well maintained and corridors were the same. We had a shower and no bath which was no problem but in case somebody was expecting a bath thought is mention it. There is a little chef petrol station... More

This seems to be a fimiliar finding when staying at Travelodges these days. Although the room was reasonably clean, you just had a sense that the place was a bit tired - soot marks on the wall above the room heater, paint patched on the walls where pictures had been moved, and the old screw holes just left visible. The... More

I know know how Steve McQueen felt when sent to the cooler in the Great Escape! The windows will only open a couple of inches for saftey? in a heat wave the lack of air and high temperature of the room was not for my safety. The noise from the traffic outside continued through the night, so if you like... More

The Travelodge at Eye Green is a nice hotel. The staff are very very friendly, polite and welcoming. The rooms are always clean and well laid out. Being a newer Travelodge (compared to Alwalton) the standard of the bathroom is much better. I liked staying in the hotel however its one downside is it is in the middle of nowhere,... More
