This is our second stay at this hotel, chosen for its proximity to a party venue. It was no surprise therefore to find the room and the hotel in general a bit tired and dated. However, the service on this visit was far better than last time! The young man on reception was friendly and very helpful. The room was... More

This has to be the worst Travelodge we have stayed in. As in previous reviews the Reception area is tatty and smells really stale. The female receptionist on checkin was scruffy & not in any sort of uniform. Our family room was on the ground floor and was very tired and scruffy. The sofabed was small. The bathroom was in... Firstly, anybody that stays in a Travelodge (any Travelodge) needs to be clear about why they chose it over other options. It is unreasonable to compare it to other establishments that are a higher spec and offer a broader range of services. It is no frills and budget, often with rooms available for £19 a night. HOWEVER. There are limits.... More

Only an overnight stay so we booked this hotel, knowing it was behind a pub and would be ideal for breakfast at least, what we weren't told was that the pub restaurant only served a cooked breakfast from 9-10 but still had the "A" board outside still inviting people in. What a disappointment, had to check out and go find... More

Me, my partner and her sister and our 2 children stayed here last night, never again will i stay in a travelodge, it was getting late and I didn't want to travel to dorset so we thought stay at a local travellodge the night, we booked it over the phone which was fine but once we got there, the receptionist,... The price for a room at this travelodge is excellent (especially with a family) however the hotel is very tired. When you walk into the lobby it feels like something from a sitcom with buzzing lights and stale cigarette smells . Our room smelt strongly of cigars and the corridors smell stale. The whole place desperately needs renovating. Bring your... More

I booked this room because there is a 12am check out, I got in from work at 03.45am I was woken up at 07.45 with workmen drilling and making one hell of a noise on the first floor so I complained this is the remarkable email I received from Traveloge. Thank you for your email. I understand your night’s sleep... More

One of the smaller TL rooms I have stayed in. Expensive considering there are minimal facilities available. Walls chipped, some other signs of wear on furniture and fittings. On the bright side, the receptionist was extremely polite and helpful. There is a Harvester Pub next door which does takeaway food. Overall, not bad at all for a night's stopover. More

Booked last minute for an excellent price, I wasn't expecting too much based on reviews I had read. Well, expectations not exceeded but not lowered either as I had a warm and clean room, passable shower and comfortable bed (if a little soft). The hotel is in severe need of redecoration, both in the corridors and rooms, with walls and... More
