This hotel is quite old but there have been some recent updates to keep it fresh. The rooms were clean and modern, however, the bed was very uncomfortable. You have to go down a series of steps with your luggage to get to the kifts, which really made no sense. They wanted the equivalent of $25 for the breakfast buffet...

Stayed here on a saturday night as we were at a wedding close by. Hotel in great location for M6 and only 5-10 mins into Preston City Centre.
Room was a good size for the money and had everything we needed. Didn't eat or drink here however, so can't comment on that. Sorry!

Stopped here last night to break our journey home to Scotland. Staff were very pleasant helpful and attentive.
We were hungry and the 'Jumbo' Scampi looked like a good bet. It came in a little metal basket with a handful of limp 'rustic' chips and some tartar sauce on the side.
The scampi was delicious (the 'rustic' chips were not)...

Thank you for your feedback. The scampi dish is freshly prepared by us using Scottish langoustine tails so I hope the taste was good. We stayed at this hotel for 1 night as Valentine break on a Dinner, Bed and Breakfast basis.
The room was lovely, overlooked the river. Big bed, powerful shower and very clean.
We had dinner in the resturant, again this was lovely. The staff were attentive.
