This is the sort of place I wouldn't normally look at as it looks spectacularly pricey and out of my league but my cousin and I decided to try it as there was a special offer and we both needed a break from real life. In fact it was the perfect break from real life and we especially enjoyed the... More

Spent three nights at the hotel. Service is great, and facilities are very nice. We had tea in the lounge next to the fire place after an outing in the wet weather. It certainly feels warm and cozy. The scones are very good, among the top 2 since our arrival in London 2 weeks ago. Dinner was great as well.... More

A splendid place for a break. Comfortable and elegant. The staff are without exception helpful and friendly, and when we mentioned to a waiter at dinner that the menu choice was unchanging, we were rung up in our room with the offer of a supplementary choice. The one glitch was when the beautiful pool developed a technical fault and had... More

A lovely location for what should have been an enjoyable afternoon treat, but in fact was not up to normal Cotswold's standard, although we had booked well in advance, the hotel had not reserved us a table laid ready. The waiter service was rather 'hit and miss', wrong tea brought, when a complaint was made about soggy scones the message... More

Thank you for taking the time to write your comments on trip advisor, it is one the ways in which we can find out where we are going wrong and improve upon our guest service. I have spoken with the team here at the hotel to try to get to the bottom of the situation, it’s always a little hard... More

We stayed here for one night and it was fantastic. We were in the ralph tonsy suite on the top floor, felt a bit bad when they had to carry my bag all the way up as there is no lift. The room was spacious and clean. There is a pool and gym in the hotel which is a nice... More

I have reviewed this hotel many times before so this is not a review of it as a place to stay, but as a place for an event. We recently celebrated our Silver Wedding Anniversary and chose Charingworth Manor for its lovely location and friendly staff. As it was to be a tea party we also selected it for its... More

Very relaxing and lovely hotel in fine grounds. Excellent service, especially in the restaurant. Afternoon tea seems to take over all the public rooms and dinner is overpriced, but these are minor criticisms against a very positive overall impression. Our second visit, and we shall return. More

Having initially booked Charingworth Manor as a birthday treat for my girlfriend, I subsequently thought that the venue might make a perfect place to ask her to marry me. Not having visited the hotel before, this confident assessment may have gone badly wrong. In actuality, this was most special weekend we have spent together. The hotel is gorgeous, as was... More
