Bed and breakfast, located opposite the castle of Amboise. 3 rooms renovated cozy full direct access to downtown restaurants - pizzeria owners ideal location for visiting the chateaux of the Loire
We had an amazing 3 day offsite retreat at the Villa Roma and it was perfect for our group. Kelly and Ana did a great job helping coordinate the meeting space and the overall experience was 10/10. The meeting rooms had everything we needed for a productive meeting, the food was good and the extra amenities from bumper boats, to s’mores bonfires and the rest the grounds had to offer, we were set for success. I look forward to returning again in the near future for personal or our next business meeting and and am thankful to have this place on our radar. Would recommend.

Clean, as advertised rooms, helpful staff, perfectly located for exploring Amboise and biking the Loire Valley. A secure room for bikes is available. Wi-fi was advertised as available in a common area but was not able to connect and staff were not able to help re wi-fi so don't count on it being available. Overall rating would have been higher if not for the lack if wi fi.

The room is located above a restaurant in the centre of Amboise. Our room had a great view on the castle and being right in the middle of the town was definitely beneficial to our stay. Using the "B&B" naming might not be entirely on point but that didn't really bothered us. The rooms are located in a historical house and a lot of its charm has remained, however that does mean small staircases and squeaky floors. There is no parking around and breakfast is basic but decent. One remark though: there is no wifi in the rooms. We were said that we could only use the wifi in the common seating area (which was actually a sort of hallway used for restaurant staff), but we couldn't even detect the wifi network. Slightly disappointed by this though, these days it doesn't take that much effort to get a proper wifi connection working.…

This b&b is above the Villa Roma restaurant. It is in the centre of Amboise, France, right next to the chateau. There is no parking and this can be very difficult during the holiday seasons. There are many bars & restaurants in the vicinity. The bedroom was too hot and there was no air-conditioning on a fan. The breakfast was better than average .

This is above a restaurant directly opposite the chateau. There is no parking but if you are lucky you can park along the river which is only a couple of minutes away. There is a narrow winding staircase up to the rooms so it would not suit anyone infirm. I was worried it might be a bit noisy but I didn't find it so. Breakfast didn't start until 9am so it would not suit anyone wanting to make an early start, also the floorboards squeaked very loudly between the bedroom and shower room so a night-time visit might wake other occupants up!

Very disappointing experience ,this is a room above a restaurant and not a charming B&B in fact nothing charming about this place, yes the bed was large but not comfortable, sagged. The shower was nice. We got to the "B&B" and could not get in. No one there. We had to call and wait ten minutes for someone to let us in. She was a little off setting. She showed us our room and we asked about wifi, she gave us the password and she could not get it to work. She told us she would get us the right password and give it to us on our return from dinner, got back and there was a password, the same that would not work two hrs earlier. No wifi. We had to wait around until 9 am for our free breakfast. What a joke two croissants and some off tasting bread. What a waste of time. Horrible coffee too I would recommend you go somewhere else. PS the room is extremely noisy until 11 pm. …

You check in at the counter in the pizzeria Via Roma and then take a very narrow flight of stairs out back - very quirky and characterful, half wood, half stone! My room was at the front on the first floor overlooking the Chateau. The large double bed was exceptionally comfortable, one of the best beds I've had in France! Decent size room with a little table and chairs, small tv, very creaky floorboards both in my room and the room above! An Ok shower room with decent toiletries. All in all a very comfortable stay and perfectly located for all the restaurants, bars and cafes in central Amboise. Decent continental breakfast, albeit simple - fruit, croissant, baguette, good jams and coffee. I would stay again.

This was a stop-off on our little French road trip and boy was I pleased we did! In fact I wish we'd had time to stay longer! Villa Roma is easy to find amongst some bars and cafes on the main strip of Amboise, parking was not with the hotel but there was a free car park about 5 minutes walk away...which gave us a great opportunity to eye up all the local bars before we checked in. Check in was through the main restaurant door and was quick and pleasant and we were shown to the family room we had reserved. The room was up some very steep steps so please bear in mind if you have walking difficulties. For us it was not a problem. Our room was large and consisted of 2 rooms and a bathroom. The kids shared a double bed (which had a TV) in the first room and we shared the smaller back room. There was plenty of wardrobe space and the room was clean and tidy. The decor was just as I like and we were all very comfortable. The only criticism I can find is that we didn't have a great view from our bedroom window....but this was not the end of the world on this occasion. I can't understand why some reviewers are complaining about the breakfast!! It is France, you are not to expect a full English fry up! We had cereals, croissants, jams and marmalade and toast all washed down with fresh juice and tea, coffee and hot chocolate. We were asked if we wanted any more so our tummies were full up and satisfied. Would we stay again? Absolutely!…

B&B of excellent location in front of the Amboise castle and on top of the same owner restaurant. Owner kind and friendly. The lock of some rooms is "rustic", but the charm of the place and the quiet of surroundings at night ensuring a good rest and romantic atmosphere.

Villa Roma is right off of the main square in town. An absolutely ideal location. Our room had a beautiful view of the castle android the square below. The room was large, quiet, nicely furnished and was very clean. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was huge (by European standards) with a really nice rain shower. You access this B and B through the restaurant Via Roma, an Italian restaurant, with tables on the main square. You walk in and ask any of the staff working there about the B and B. They will get the owner and she will show you around. The breakfast area for the B and B is in the restaurant, the offerings are generous and the coffee is excellent. The only down side is that the tiny spiral state case up to the room could be very challenging if you have large suitcases. All in all, a very lovely stay!…
