The Auberge is wonderfully restored and updated. We were put in the annex, which might seem an inconvenience, but it truly wasn't. The room was lovely, keeping the period features. The food in the restaurant was lovely, and we decided to splash out on the wine menu, which can be pricey, but it doesn't have to be if you don't want it to be. The ease of check-in and check-out, however, was remarkable. I fully... More

Our Easter 2012 vacation was 5 nights at this Hotel and trying a variety of Michelin * restaurants nearby. This hotel was extremely peaceful, well equipped, well appointed rooms and well situate for exploring the Loire. Our dinner here was well presented, good choice available in each and every course; represented good value and was served with care. The breakfasts were more than adequate and the breakfast room was charming and sunny. The off street... More

Firstly, I cannot understand those reviewers who complained about the attitude of the staff at the hotel. We found them extremely friendly, helpful and courteous. Our room was very comfortable, with a beautiful veiw of the garden and our own chairs and table outside the window. Parking was secure - under cover if you arrive early enough. The only slight downside was that it was impossible to take a shower without flooding the bathroom floor... More

Phoned looking for a place to stay with just an hours notice. Arrived late in the afternoon on a Sunday and were personally greeted with a smile. A lovely hotel with good friendly staff, and the nicest rooms we found on our whole trip. The bed in particular was the nicest bed I've ever slept in. The linen and pilows was of the highest quality (bedding was on par with the Sheraton Dubai... Yes it... More

The hotel lived up to all the reviews already on Trip Advisor. Lovely room, spotlessly clean. We stopped over for one night on our way to the Dordogne region. It was our wedding anniversary and we booked a table in the restaurant for dinner and were not disappointed, the food was excellent and service good, extensive wine list. If you are in the Loire Valley then you will be hard pressed to better this hotel. More

Our third stay, this time for 2 nights instead of previous pit stops. This meant we could take more advantage of the amenities. Rooms good to very good - try and avoid the smaller ones on the top floor, with the tight stairs. The best standard rooms are in the annexe. Bathrooms are usually spacious but some fittings are tired & not all have decent showers. Room lives up to the Michelin 1* rating. The... More

Clad in ivy and autumnal leaves on the night of our visit, this old-world hotel is a crazy but ultimately lovely aggregation of individual buildings in the heart of the village of Chenonceaux, only a few steps away from the entrance to the famous chateau, and within easy access of many other sites and villages of the Loire Valley. Best of all, it is a 200km journey by motorway from CDG airport, and an excellent... More

We stayed here for seven nights in Sept., 2011. Located in the town of Chenonceau, this French country inn with surrounding gardens, an inground pool and abundant parking was centrally located to many area chateaus. The magnificent Chenonceaux chateau was only an 8 minute walk from the inn. We have never stayed in such a comfortable, clean, and efficient lodging as this. The staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The service and gourmet food was... More

We spent one night here on a tour of the Loire Valley. We chose the hotel because of Tripadvisor reviews and because it is in the Michelin guide. We wanted a hotel where we could eat a good meal in the evening. The service was excellent throughout - from check in to check out. Our room was lovely - enormous, clean, very comfortable bed, huge bathroom fully supplied with toiletries, room well soundproofed although the... More

We spent just 1 night at the Auberge during a weekend visit to the Loire and it was a wonderful stay. From the moment we arrived until the moment we checked out, we had extremely personal service that let us savor every moment of our visit. Traveling with a two and a half year old is not easy, and some hotels recoil in horror when you arrive -- but not here. The staff at the... More
