The Grand Hotel Continental is located on a busy and noisy street with mostly sidewalk restaurants but within walking distance of the cathedral. My single room at 79 euros was VERY small but nicely decorated and quiet. There was a very tiny but updated bath with a hair dryer. The biggest problem was the dark walls and tiny lightbulbs that...

Stayed recently at this hotel, and was pleasently surprised. Location is central to Reims (parking just outside in Erlon underground car park). Staff were fantastic, I didn't eat in the hotel, but the excellent Brasserie Flo over the road, and you are right in the middle of the night life here.

Had dinner at this fabulous restaurant Au Conti within this hotel. A superbly French experience with surroundings absolutely and resolutely French Grandiose.
A display of almost ceiling high flowers dominated the room and the table linen etc was of a very good high standard. Wine choices were superb although I can't vouch for the prices as we were being hosted!...

This was my 2nd trip to the Grand Hotel Continental and my 4th or 5th to Reims itself.
The city is beautiful with many bars, restaurants, and wonderful places to visit such as the various champagne caves & the cathedral .

Travelling on my own this was perfect - in that it was a hop skip and a jump from the train station.
The staff were friendly enough.
The room was fine. Nice strong pressure shower. Tiny hallways and elevator barely fitted me and my one suitcase. But at least they had one.
It is however on the main eating and...

Not all rooms are created equal in this older establishment. The newer wing has the better ones.
My room, in the old part, was conceived and built during the time, running from about A.D. 1200 to 1970, when middle class French people did not feel the need to wash daily. So it clearly had no bathroom and toilet at the...

We specifically asked for rooms in the new section having researched tripadvisor but were shown to grotty smelly rooms in the basement, we asked to be moved and were shown very impressive rooms in the old part on the first floor but they had musty and tobacco smells too, and old bathrooms. Then we were shown good quality rooms in...

I took my mother and one of her friends to Reims to visit the Christmas market in december.
After some searching on the internet we chose the Grand Hotel Continental as the website gave the hotel an appealing look.
As we were a party of 3 requiring 2 rooms it was not a straightforward booking, but the hotel responded to...

We stayed whilst stopping over on a skiing trip to the Alps and although we were not expecting much, we were disappointed by the lack of attention to detail. The staff were not accommodating, and did not want to help upon our arrival.
Good location - right in the centre!
All in all it's okay.. but I would not like...
