located in the peaceful, yet lively Latin quarter, this hotel made you feel like you were family. Excellent in giving advice for restaurants, knowledgable about city events, transportation, etc. The front desk always went the extra mile and operated in excellence. For example, I booked a hotel through a wholesaler and recieved a voucher for a standard room, which is... More

...very small rooms (even for Paris). Cleanliness was OK but not more than that. Staff was friendly but at night the reception was almost always unattented and the outer doors were open! Breakfast is what you would expect for Paris (i.e. bad) so save your money a buy some bread from some of the great bakers in the area. As... More

I revisited this hotel after 30 years - a trip down memory lane. I remembered it being very convenient to the Notre Dame and the Seine. Anyway, for a modest hotel, I highly recommend it. It is clean and neat, with a pleasant lounge downstairs. The staff was helpful and friendly, and it was within walking distance to many good... More

Stayed for a week and a half with a 10-month old, and didn't want to leave. Location (Latin Quarter) is perfect; a block from the Panthéon, 2-5 minute walk to Metro, bus, and RER stations, 15-20 minute walks to Notre Dame, Louvre, and heaps of museums, dozens of brasseries. Price is acceptable for the area. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and... More

I believe this hotel could be something special but it just needs an interior face lift. The carpets need to be replaced from the 60's. You can see that in their day they were exquisite, but 40 years later they need to be replaced. A little paint would go a long way, along with a few upgrades in beds and... More

There is a great deal that is good about this hotel: • Terrific location • Very clean property, room, bedding, etc. • Very, very helpful staff at the front desk – nice, kind, friendly, and informative However, you need to be familiar with what you can expect at a 3-star hotel – which I think this hotel is very honest... For the money, you get a clean bed, small bathroom with updated fixtures and an undersized shower with curtain (turn around and you will fall out of shower), and view of back alley way or wall if you want quiet. The same price gives you a view of the street. However, one noisy motorcycle or siren will wake you so... More

We just returned from Paris. Our last visit was 11 years ago. On this visit and our last visit we stayed at the Claude Bernard. We chose to stay here again because the hotel is reasonably priced, very clean, charming, and in a great location. The metro is a few blocks away, the Cluny, Notre Dame, and Berthillon (our fave... This is a simple and charming hotel in Paris. The localization is good, near subway station, several places to dinner in near a turistic zone, and close tosome attraction such as Pantheon, Notre Dame and Senna River. The breakfast is included but so poor. Good place to stay up to 4 days. More

We loved location, staff, breakfast and our room, especially the size. Breakfast was fresh, well presented, and a great way to start our days. We didn't have noise problems even though we were in a corner room; but then, we walked so much we were probably too tired to notice. Traveling with teenage grandson - the fourth of eight we... More
