Our hosts were very freindly. The Les Florentine room on the top floor gave us a wondrful view of Carcassonne. In warmer weather you could sit out on the terrace and enjoy the view. The room was nicely decorated but the bathroom did need a door on it. That is my only complaint. This is not a three star hotel,... More

Our party of four stayed at this B&B for three nights, and did not find the experience an entirely positive one. All bedrooms are accessed by a narrow spiral staircase therefore anyone with even moderate mobility issues would struggle with the 4 floor levels. The proprietors consist of a husband and wife team who do not live on the premises,... More

Booked this b&b based on the good reviews and was not disappointed. We stayed in the back room on the first floor. It was quiet and the bed was comfortable. The room was nice and big. Good value for €75. The best thing about this b&b though is the location- its really close to the castle, it's just at the... More

We stayed at Les Florentines in September '12. We had a double rooom facing the rear of the building. Our room was spacious and immaculate. Breakfast was filling and tasty. We loved being able to walk up to the Castle and had dinner inside the walls in the evening. The owners were friendly and we managed with our wobbly French!... More

My wife and I stayed several of days here on the top floor. This room has two balcony's. The main one over looks the fortress in what one can only described as a million dollar view! We enjoyed much time on that patio both day and night. The lighted fortress as seen while lying in bed is simply awesome. The... More

I stayed in the Jonquille room, which is a triple room on the first floor, because I was travelling with my parents who are in their 70's and therefore may not be able for the stairs to the upper rooms with a view. It was a huge, lovely room, very airy and bright. We arrived earlier than the check-in time... More

We booked 2 rooms and stayed 3 days. The Florentine on the 3rd (top) floor and another on the 1st floor. Both were very pretty and very French. Florentine is the one with the terraces with the amazing views of the Cite. Brigitte and Henri were lovely. The breakfast is simple and good.It was fun to try my wobbly French.... More

In brief, this is an excellent base for exploring Carcassonne. It's very close to the medieval city, but on a quiet street. The service was extremely friendly and helpful - we were able to check in as soon as we arrived (10am) which was great as we'd had a very early flight, and were also able to leave our bags... More

We arrived in the middle of a massive summer rainstorm and the owners helped us unload our stuff and pointed out where to find street parking (only a few doors away). Then they loaned us large umbrellas so we could still explore the city at night. We were given the room we requested (Jonquil, family room that easily slept 4).... More
