We've stayed 2 nights at la Bergerie and I must say that we would have chosen an other hotel if all the others wheren't sold out. The lady at the reception was arguing with one of her collegues as I walked in and even if she saw me she kept on arguing with the other lady. She was not that... More

What a disappointing stay we had! The hotel is indeed ideally located for travellers, being close to the motorway. The room was basic, small, with minimum cost furniture, but clean, much in line with many other Logis hotels. But we had selected this hotel for the restaurant, which had a good review, and staying for 3 nights had chosen to... More

We stayed over on a Saturday night and when we checked in the receptionist informed us that there were 2 weddings in the (rather small) hotel! I felt they should have told us this when we reserved a few days beforehand as they already had this information. Of course it was noisy and we had a room just above the... More

My husband and I stayed here with my elderly parents for 1 night on the way to Switzerland. I agree with previuos reviews in that the rooms are average but the food is good. They took account of my request for rooms with easy access for my parents and gave us rooms on the ground floor with showers which was... More

You know where French priorities are-their stomachs!!I've lost count of the small country logis I have visited where the food is foremost and the accomodation is of lesser importance.De La Bergerie is no exception. We had a very good meal but our room was very basic although spotlessly clean. The appeal for us was easy access from the autoroute in transit from... we selected this hotel as a stopover because of its easy access to the moterway and the level of comfort as indicated on its website. However although the restaurant and communal areas such as the grounds and lounge did not disappoint the bedrooms were definately a huge let down.Firstly they were nothing like the rooms shown on the hotel website,it was... I totally agree with the review written by "theblackhand" I would like to visit this hotel again in the summer in order to appreciate the grounds and outside areas. We wanted a hotel in the Metz area as we were on our way to Alsace. This is perfect as it is just off the Motorway and very easy to find.... More

I stayed here with my family on the way to and fro Austria (from London). It's about 2 minutes from the A4 autoroute, north of Metz, so very convenient. The hotel is in the hamlet of Rugy which seems to be a dormitory for Metz, with no life of its own, not even a cafe. The Moselle river is close... More

Room was comfortable, although the "double bed" was two single beds made up and just pushed together Bathroom was adequate, although no overhead shower and no shower curtain, so a bit awkward. Seperate toilet Grounds were very nice, and the restaurant was excellent with a good selection of set menus Quite expensive for what you got, in my opinion More

We stayed at La Bergerie for 6 days in May 2004. It's a very nice, very quiet, very laid back establishment. The staff were quite acccomodating, but they did take an abnormally long time in making up the rooms. In most cases this was not a problem as we were out touring around, but on the one day we stayed... More
