We stayed at this beautiful, elegant hotel just for one night, on our way back to England from Monte Carlo, and we really wished we had arranged to stay for longer. We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. Everything about the hotel was perfect – location, staff, room, food. We definitely hope to return and... More

Very old and charming hotel in the midst of an ancient walled city. Service always nice. Room was decorated well and updated considering the age of the building. Location was perfect. I would highly recommend this city and hotel. Great location for day trips. More

This is a great choice for a stay in Avignon. It's right inside the walled old city, the staff is helpful and very friendly. Our room was an upgrade which was spacious and well decorated. The hotel was not full and it was nice to get upgraded without asking to a larger room (prestige I think). The room was a... More

Great location. ( this , I have to give credit to my husband, he just seem to know ). The place is like connecting with the past "OLD " ( in a nice way). yet, it is in the present. You want class , this is the place. MOST of all the STAFF are incredibly awesome. I cannot mention all... More

I spent two lovely nights at this hotel. You are greeted by an open courtyard with trailing wisteria vines and a large sycamore tree surrounded by rose bushes. This courtyard also serves as a patio for the bar or a morning coffee. My room was beautifically decorated, quiet and lovely. The staff was very gracious at all times. I found... More

Rack rates here are very expensive except for the standard rooms. We booked a superior room at an off season promotional price and were satisfied with the value we got, and my review is based on that. We would not have been as happy if we paid the rack rate because the room, although comfortable, wasn't special enough to justify... More

We had a wonderful stay here, despite the restaurant being closed for the week. However, only after we were moved from the first room they showed us, which was dark and unwelcoming. The move (including a complimentary upgrade) was carried out without fuss, and very efficiently. Our new room, at the front of the hotel, was bright and airy, and... More

A gem of a hotel, even better than some of the five starred properties in Paris or elsewhere. I recently stayed for a two nights during a trip through the south of France. The room, overlooking the wisteria-filled courtyard was idyllic (if a bit dark/dim) and the staff simultaneously warm and pitch-perfect in their professionalism. Stepping into this hotel for... More

We stayed in one of the cheapest rooms (189 euros) of which there are only a few. The end of the bed was less than 2 feet from the wall, the room was very poorly lit, and there were no drawers at all. I suspect that the more expensive rooms are fine, bout our room was not five star, although... More

As I am here 6/7 times a year ...one can read my many reviews including my last from December. Suffice to say that this is more than a Hotel. Besides being a Historic Site' that has been carefully renovated to give you the utmost in comfort while retaining the feel of the centuries of history, the staff (Fernando, Marcella, Sergio,...
