...made so by the absolute dedication of Annie, Patrice, and the magnificent superdog Brittany. This may sound like an overstatement, but my satisfaction with Le Hotel Colbert began with the scent of the fresh lavender bouquet in the lobby and it deepened with each passing hour. Annie and Patrice have created a wonderful, colorful, and cozy inn that embodies the... More

Suoer small Provencal hotel. Patrice and his wife work hard to make this a charming place to come. The breakfast are a delight of homemade delicious fayre. The rooms are not huge but clean and adequate. Would certainly stay again if in the area More

We stayed at Hotel Le Colbert for 4 nights on our arrival in France. We had flown from Australia to Paris via Singapore and then took the TGV from Paris to Avignon so we were a bit frazzled after 30 hours of travelling. Patrice was very helpful, getting us drinks and cold towels to refresh us. The room was quite... More

Patrice could not accommodate me for one of the three nights of my stay in Avignon because he was completely full, so he found other accomodations for me. He also arranged for my tour of the Châteauneuf Du Pape. He was committed to providing not only lodging, but a great experience staying in Avignon. Annie prepared a nutritious and tasty... More

Just blocks from the Gare SNCF and Gare Routiere (bus) and there is a boulangerie/patisserie on the way! In a tiny alley so parking is remote if you are driving. Be prepared to carry your luggage up many steps and remember that the second floor is two flights up. Our "comfort" room was large and brightly decorated with windows looking... More

Our 6 nights in this charming hotel proved to be a good base for our exploration of Avignon. The hotel is very well kept and very clean. The décor is very pleasing with bright colors and art posters adorning almost every wall. The owner is very gracious. Patrice welcomed us on our arrival with a very nice orientation to Avignon... We picked this hotel based on its location and on the other reviews on this website and weren't disappointed. We booked early and got a room on the 1st floor, so only one flight of stairs to walk up to a very comfortable room overlooking the little courtyard. I think all the rooms are decorated in the provencale colour scheme... More

We stayed at the Hotel Colbert for 4 nights and enjoyed it very much. It is very well located for both transport and for exploring Avignon on foot. There are good places to eat in the square at the end of the street. Our host spoke very good English and was very nice and obliging, especially with helping with packing... More

We stayed here for 5 nights. Well located with only a short walk from the central station. [Note 1: that there are two stations in Avignon (the TGV station is outside but you can get a bus for 1.20 euro each way, and the other station is in the centre). Note 2: there are also 2 car hire places at... More

At first glance we weren't sure we would agree to the high ratings on this hotel. But we came to see its merits. It is on a little side street near the heart of the old quarter. The rooms are spotless and well appointed. Having the toilet in a separate room threw us at first because we weren't used to... More
