There was 4 of us travelling, and we stayed in 2 different rooms. One with a great view and balcony facing the harbour. However, the air conditioning was not great in this room. The other room was a mountain view with balcony, great view with very good air conditioning. The best part of the hotel was the beautiful view from... More

We chose Beaulieu because of its proximity to Nice as we travel by rail. The station is a 5 minute walk to the Hotel and the large supermarket is immediately beside the station. The Frisia is the only 3 star hotel with sea views, the others being 4 star and very expensive, and we were very pleasantly surprised by the... More

Our friends had stayed here a few times and warned us that it was not 5 star and to not expect too much. From the outside, the building is 60's style and looks plain. The reception area is in need of modernization, but as we learned it is the most friendly, clean hotel. Our 3rd level room at the front... More

I booked the hotel directly and was told to fill their website for booking which i did. I asked for the apartment room since we were travelling with children and i needed a larger space. We arrived around 8 pm and i called earlier to make sure that the room is ready. The receptionist said sure your room will be... More

We arrived on a bank holiday and this was one of the few hotels with vacancies. It is a bit in need of an update: decor is a bit tired. But the location is excellent, especially the front rooms with balcony overlooking the marina; the breakfast was good; and the room was clean and comfortable. We stayed 3 nights, and... More

I should preface this by saying that I normally stay at high end hotels, but because I was traveling with a group of friends with different priorities, I stayed at the Frisia. Boy, did it have location, location, location. The bus for Monaco was right out front. It was a really nice bus, and In would use it again even... More

We stayed here 8 nights, so were able to see a full range of service. A genuine 3 star hotel - not 2* masquerading nor pretending to be 4*. 1) So no plush towels but regular white ones (changed regularly with no nagging bathroom notes about ecoconservation). (2 No duvets on bed - still a combo of creepy blanket covered... More

It has the old charms of what hotels used to be. Not too clinical and still at human scale. The staff is very helpful. Location is great as 5mn walk from the beach and restaurants. Terrace is very nice for sea views. Rooms are small but tidy. More

Good outward appearance. Once you get inside you can tell it has some years. But everything does work (hot water, AC). The best thing about it was the staff and location. In either direction Cannes or Monte Carlo are less than a one hour train ride away. If you are on a budget I highly suggest you take the train... More
