I'm in my final night (of 4) of staying here at Chez Patrick's. I have nothing but praise for the place: - Good location: 5 minutes from the train station, located just off the main road with shops, public transport, restaurants and everything nearby. Walking distance to the main sites (beach, old Nice, museums, parks, etc). Safe place. Make sure... More

The place is very well located, it's perfectly clean but... -There's only two toilets and two showers for everybody and that's a bit short... -The kitchen is very small and eating there is not the easiest (and there's no place for you to cook anything, just a microwave, a fridge & a boiler) -The rooms are quite big but not... We thought we would like this place, it was pretty new looking, got great reviews, made it into Lonely Planet and Le Routard, and looked clean. Patrick was so friendly and nice... when we were handing him our money. The room is alright, bunk beds and a sink. We were only provided a sheet and when the air conditioning is... More

Not a bad little place. Location is decent for traveling around the Cote d'Azur, as it's near the train station (walking distance, in fact). However, that's not the nicest/safest area of Nice. It can be a bit sketchy, but if you are an alert and experienced traveler you should be fine. Price was decent. Locked out every afternoon from 10... More

Me and a friend, (we're late 20s), stayed here in August 2008 for a few nights. The hostel is easy to find and very well located on a rather dingy sidestreet just off the main shopping street in Nice -Ave Jean Medecin. It's about 5 mins walk from the railway station and about 15 mins walk from the old town/seafront... More

Patrick is a great host. I didnt have a reservation but he took me in anyway. His hostel was always clean. Patrick cleans the hostel himself. This hostel may not have a party atmosphere, but Patrick knows where to go to have a good time, I was here for two weeks and i met many great people and we partied... More

First day we stayed in a 6 person shared dorm room and then we moved into a 4 person dorm for the next 3 nights. The people were great and we all (3 females) had a great time. After checking in (we booked over the internet) we got a key for the door to the building, a code for the... More

I stayed there with my girlfriend for 4 nights. The hostel is located in the 2nd and 3rd floors of an old building. The 2nd floor is designed according to youth hostel standards. I found it to be neat and decent. It has a fully equipped kitchen at the disposal of the guests. The 3rd floor is where (at that... More

I would like to warn any cyclist who reads about this hostel in the cycle france lonely planet guide that it is NOT a good place to stay. Me and my partner stayed there for one reason, we needed to have a place to store our bike bags when we went off to camp in corsica. A price for this... More
