I stayed here with my friend two summers ago and we really enjoyed our stay! We spend here three nights but I could easily spend here several weeks! The location was great. It was about 20 minute walk to the train station and about 10 minute walk to the beach. The city center was right there when you stepped out... More

Hotel Rex is found in the heart of Nice with everything at your doorstep. With being a building behind the main walkway the Hotel is quiet at night and very secure. Cafes, restaurants, shops and the beach are all in walking distance and Castle Hill is within reach. Room was absolutely spotless every single day, the hygiene of the hotel... More

My boyfriend and I picked this after finding it online. We were very happy with the results. The hotel is not hard at all to find, if you have a printed map or simply know the street you need to look for. The location is one that is very great and close to everything. The hotel was one that was... More

As a retired clinician, I wouldn't stay in anywhere that was at all dirty. Which is partly why we keep coming back here. It's beautifully clean - true, old age and infirmity will eventually prevent my getting up the stairs but, until then, this is the place for me in Nice. Oh! and the breakfasts at 7 euros each are... I stayed in a single room by myself that had a shower and a sink - but toilet just down the end of the hall. Room is small but there is enough storage. Bed was comfortable. There was a TV in that small room which was nice. Room was cleaned every day which was good. No bedbugs to report. It's... More

We spent 3 days in Nice and we loved the area. We rented a scooter and we saw Monaco, Monte Carlo, St Paul and Vence and we loved all these places. Hotel cons: - short beds (I am 191cm tall and my legs were hanging outside the bed) - small room and tiniest bathroom ever - no wardrobe - thin... More

The location of this hotel is great, very close to the bistro's, cafes and shops! The hotel itself wasn't the best. I guess you get what you pay for though. First you walk through a creepy courtyard to get to the hotel... it smells like stale smoke and lilies. Very boutique-st. Room was very small... but we were only there... More

If you are looking for a 5 star hotel then this is not it. That said, this place is perfect for what it is...inexpensive two star accommodation in the perfect location. I was slighty worried about the reviews that mentioned bed bugs so I was a bit wary before we got there but I couldn't have been more pleased with... More

I rented a single room for one week and during that week I was bitten VERY frequently by bed bugs. Since I did not react immediately, I did not know I had bedbugs - despite the telltale signs of drops of blood on the sheets. The hotel staff must have realized as they repeated moved the single bed away from... More

Thank you for having taken the time to write this comment. Cleanliness has always been our biggest concern, we clean every day very carefully our rooms and beds. In addition to that we have a contract with a company who regularly controls our hotel. After reading your comment I immediately called them, they came this morning and fortunately they couldn't... Hotel Rex is no doubt a bit past its best, but it wasn't horrible. Good bits - location is excellent, it was pretty cheap and everything in our room pretty much worked. Reservation process and check in was a breeze. Bad bits - Certainly not for the mobility-impaired - loads of stairs which were a real challenge with suitcases. Although... More
