- Solara Hotel Nice

We stayed here for 4 nights in April '12, after reading the reviews on here we were not disappointed, the hotel is at the top of an apartment block right in the centre of a pedestrian area, minutes from the airport bus stop (98) the owner/manager is very friendly and the rooms are quaint but clean, there is no coffee...

I'm surprised this hotel ranks so highly compared to others in Nice. We found it very disapointing. The rooms are all on the 4th floor in a block of private appartments. It doesn't look at all like a hotel and access is via a very, very tiny lift. Rooms are also very small and ours was painted 'prison cell' grey...

This small, family-run hotel is on the 4th floor of a residential building right on the central section of Nice. You can walk to just about anywhere. When I arrived, the owner, Thierry happend to be outside somewhere near by. He came running to help me open the door and my luggage. He was always so nice and helpful.

Husband and I went for a long weekend for his birthday. This hotel was centrally situated to plenty of shops, restaurants, beach, bars, and most important bus route. We were able to travel back and forth the Cannes and other close cities. We were a block away from bus 98 which took is to and from the airport, bus 200...

Great location in one of the great pedestrian areas of Nice. My only complaint was that the walls were paper-thin, and both late at night and early in the morning, I heard my neighbors in conversation or otherwise occupied. Hotel was appropriately priced for what it offered.

Nice small and cosy hotel with very helpful staff. Perfect location in the pedestrian area and 5 min from the promenade. Room was very clean and convinient. A little bit noisy – all sounds of rue de France, but it’s part of charm.

I almost missed the hotel sign when i arrived (it was raining night) but a nice guy from the adjacent cafe showed me the way to the hotel. The lift was tiny as it can only fit one person and a luggage, but it was fine as it wasn't too crowded so we can always take turn with our travel...

we originally tried to book the garden hotel but were referred to its sister hotel, hotel solara instead, and we were so pleased that we were. Fantastic location- so convenient to get to the shops, restaurants and beach. Staff were very helpful and pleasant, room was cleaned daily and although basic, had everything we needed, and we had a great...

The Solara is really well located, only one block from the Promenade des Anglais, 10 mins from the old town and 15 mins from the station. Our room was very clean, with a brand new bathroom, and the fridge came in handy for bottles of juice and wine. The best feature was the terrace - even in December, it was...
