“a clean cheap hotel near the train station”

this place is a good deal if you have to spend one night near the train station in marseille and want to spend the minimum. Clean cheap hotels are not easy to find in the centre of this city so this one is a good one. Friendly welcome. If you leave early you may have to wake the receptionist up

Very basic. Small room. Don't expect so much. Good owners Maafi and Malek. They were ready when we came after midnight at around 02.30. Clean sheets and towels. Almost no English. Very close to the metro station and famous Canebiere street. About 15 minutes walk to the Vieux Port and St. Charles train station. A bit noisy so don't forget... More

Pleasant owner. Minimal English. Mainly dealt with (I think) his son. No fresh sheets, bed made or toilet seat. Flush didn't work. Had to remove cistern lid and fill it up manually with a small tap next to the toilet. Room was no frills or extras. Clean sheets and towels.
