For those who want to ski at Chamonix this is a excellente place. The hotel is old, but this is not a problem. The hotel is very charmy. The staff is very friendly. They will give to you all information necessary about the city and the ski areas. If you need something, they will try to do the best they... More

I love this type of hotel. A proper hotel, with very welcoming and helpful people behind the front desk. Faded grandeur, a magnificent stone staircase and very impressive, if slightly tatty, looking reception area. Triple room was enormous with beautiful balcony overlooking the town. Dodgy green flowery wallpaper that actually kind of suited. A dining table with chairs? Great bath.... More

Just back from a long weekend at the Richemond after a recommendation from family member. The room was great! Slightly outdated but falls on the right side of charming. £ per sq.m is the best I've seen in France! Huge room, lovely balcony overlooking the town and Mont Blanc. Clean bathroom with mountain view from the bath! Plenty of hanging... More

I love this beautiful, old fashioned, family run hotel. I have stayed here a couple of times now and tend to come back at least once a year during ski season. To me it feels like staying with family - they always remember me, my name and that I have stayed there before. I usually stay alone and always have... More

Historic building with a great old-fashioned style. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were well-stocked. Great central location meant everything was convenient. Only minor gripe was the shower when a bath would have been nice for aching legs, but it was great value and there may have been baths in other rooms. Next time in Cham I'll be... More

Was a little concerned as getting such a good price for our stay at this hotel, but fears unjust as it is amazing. Rooms are spacious we have room 67 which is not the biggest in the hotel but is massive compared to a typical room in France. The bath tub is by far my favourite feature it is shorter... More

Just back from a week at the Richemond, and can't rate it highly enough - I'm not normally one to bother leaving reviews, but feel I have to chip in with my views. Yes, the hotel is a little old and dated, but (comfort of the beds aside) it just adds to the charm. The staff were incredibly friendly and... More

We visited this hotel in February 2012 for a Snowboarding trip to Chamonix over a long weekend. The hotel is quite old fashioned but has a very homely feel and has an honest French charm to it. The staff were really friendly, welcoming and willing to help with any queries we had. For a 10 euro deposit for the lock,... More

I just completed two wonderful weeks as a guest at Hotel Richemond. My preference for staying at family-run hotels was once again justified. The location in central Chamonix is ideal both for access to the ski bus and to the pedestrian center that hosts a wide variety of shops and restaurants. The rooms are large and immaculately clean. The friendly... More

I so enjoyed the staff, so conviently located to the train, restaurants all is close. Exellent breakfast promptly served each day. I so loved the windows opening up to the paragliding since it was my first time doing it. Would stay again anytime! More
