There are definite pro's and con's to this place. I'll start with the good.... The Good Location is excellent. You are smack bang in the center of town and very close to ski lifts. There is a very close gondola near by but you have to walk up a very steep hill to get there. You are better off getting... More

I've just spent a few days at the Hotel du Clocher as part of a group of work colleagues. The lcoation was excellent and probably no more than 50m to the main street in Chamonix. It was also close to the slopes with around a 5 min walk through the Club Med hotel to the nearest green run in the... More

I have just spent a long weekend with friends at the hotel du clocher , first i would like to say that booking a 2 star hotel you should not expect 5 star luxury. Good points are comfortable rooms fresh towels each day and nice and warm good breakfast and central location <2 mins from centre>.The only thing i would... More

The hotel is very nice and cosy. The rooms are located on three floors: we were on the third (the highest), where we occupied two of the three rooms available. The triple room where the kids slept is adequate in size and the bathroom more than adequate; the room looks on the back of the hotel. Our room (a double)... More

We had to stay in Chamonix one day and this was the first hotel we found near the underground parking. But decided to check prices and quality also in other hotels and had to return back quite fast. We understood that this is a good choice, as the hotel owner offered also a free parking almoust in the heart of... More

I will tell you the pros first. Location was great and the room was warm. Now for the cons 1. The noise was ridiculous. We stayed on the groud floor that had paper as walls. The owners of the hotel would argue and I am glad I am not fluent in french. The ski and boot room (they didnt have... More

A small hotel right in the heart of Chamonix. The walls are paper thin, and the rooms are pretty basic but for the price (relative to other hotels in Chamonix) the value is excellent. It's within easy walking distance of the lifts for the Brevent-Flegere (the Planpraz gondola). We were staying with 'half-board' (demi-pension) and the meals were excellent. Breakfasts... More

The location is excellent. My room was small but very clean and the heat worked well. The bathroom was a very very small injection-molded unit in a corner of the room - it worked, but it you are large you will not fit. My room was on the ground floor and was therefore a bit noisy - as I napped... More

Good standard basic hotel in the centre of Chamonix. Clean and well maintained, rooms a little small. Reasonable rates and friendly owners. Opposite a ski hire shop (Skimax) and the nursery slopes. Close to many bars, restaurants, shops and the bus stop. More
