This title sums up the Hotel Rheingold. It was a good choice of hotel for us,being very close to the station and a short walk into Freiburg Old Town. Due to its convenient location it is a bit pricey.The buffet breakfast was very good. Bath towels are more like large hand towels,and the bathroom doors are clear glass!

Good 3 star hotel, good location, about 500m from the HBF (main train station), in a reasonably quit location. Staff where friendly, room was good, average amenties, average breakfast for a german hotel. Good hotel for a business trip or a short stay.

The restaurant area is light and airy, but hardly used for dinner, due to the close location to the inner city. The rooms are small and have no aircondition, however beds and bathroom of good quality, but not a four star hotel

Location is convenient if traveling by train. Four star is a bit overrated and so is the price. Restaurant is OK, especially if sitting at a window.
