The hotel has a good location, walking distance to city centre. The room rate is really low. The rooms are small, but clean and with basic amenities (hair dryer, fridge, TV with German channels only). The room isolation is terrible, we could hear everybody through the walls. I couldn't sleep all night - as guests were coming back from pubs... More

The only good thing(ish) is it is not too far from the centre. That's it. First of all, avoid the fifth floor if you have more than a small suitcase, as the lift only goes to the fourth floor! The "Double" room consisted of two narrow beds shoved together, but not close enough to serve as a double. The carpet,... More

My friends and I were put up here after our original reservation at Hansa's sister hotel were screwed up. That worked out fine since the Hansa looked much nicer. During my stay in Sep, 2010 the top floor was under renovation, but I don't remember the noise being a problem. My room had a/c, but my friends across the hall... More

Firstly, this is the best budget hotel I have stayed at in Germany. It cost 35 euros for a single room in August. If all you need is a bed with a shower in the room and an all-you-can-eat breakfast, there’s absolutely nothing to complain about. It’s easy to get to by tram or underground (2 or 3 stops), though... Further away from downtown than expected, horrible hotel with no internet service in the room, only at the lobby. Nice lady staff but all the male staff are horrible. Cleaner lady is very nice but the bathroom is so old, taps with rust, there is not much she can do. More

The rooms are a bit small but OK. The desk clerk is always busy. The railroad station is about a 25 minute walk but underground stations 10 minutes. The breakfast is fantastic. One of the best. Lots of choices so whatever you prefer is there. Of course the bacon is cooked British style. Internet is available but need to go... More

very terrible experience: - long way from S-bahn station. - the chambermaids starts to do their job after 12pm and they are making a lot o noise (slam the doors. speaks very load, listening to oriental music ....). if you are with child or you want to rest a wile..... give up.....it's impossible. they finish cleaning around 4pm. in the... We booked this hotel based on the nice overall presentation for a one night stay. We asked for a twin bedroom and we got a closet (Room 412) with two small single beds. Not only the room was ridiculously small but the furniture was old and worn out. We asked the receptionist to change us into a larger room but... More

Loooong walk from the station. Well presented, but in need of a facelift. Staff spoke limited English, but were friendly. Very limited options for eateries in the area. Leaflet in rooms advertised movies you could buy, but when I asked reception they said they didn't do them, which was a bit confusing. Breakfast was great, with fresh produce. More

The breakfast is excellent. The bed linen and towels are wonderfully clean if a little tired. What really lets this hotel down is the furnishings and their maintenance. Drawers collapsed when I tried to pull them out, lamp shades were missing and chair seats were stained. But the desk staff speak English and if you are on a budget this... More
