this is simply a reprise of my review in December. Stayed for a long weekend in Munich again. Hotel is a short distance from Marienplatz or Hauptbahnhof by Ubahn (15-20 mins) with the Machtlfinger strasse ubahn stop around the corner. Grocery stores in the immediate vicinity to stock up on supplies to put in the minibar fridge for breakfast, etc.... More

We just stayed at this hotel for two nights over the weekend and although we booked it in advance ad a very good fare, we are upgraded to a Executive Room, thanks to my Platinum account. Hotel is normal Holiday Inn quality. This hotel also have normally free space if other hotels are full. It's quite near metro station (U3, Machtlfinger Str.) and there is also some restaurants and big REWA near hotel. Still it takes ~15..20 min with metro to Marienplaz. We had a good experience at this hotel - its a little older, but in good repair. Room: B Was upgraded to an "Executive" or Jr Suite room as a Platinum member which was nice. The rooms are small but good enough for a single business traveller. The bed and pillows were comfortable and there was enough darkness and noiselessness for sleeping. I reached the place at 1pm and finally got my room at 2pm. I had to wait in the restaurant until then. This despite the fact that I had a priority club card... More

Only stayed here for one evening and spent little time in the hotel but the rooms were comfortable and clean, the staff helpful and the room, food and drink prices very good for Munich. Good car parking facilities and taxis are usually outside to get you into the centre.

This hotel is good by European standards. The general area is a row after row of what looks like two or three story apartment buildings but there is a very good Bavarian restaurant near by where the food is good at a very reasonable price, try Wiener Schnitzel and potatoes there you will like it.
