The Mercure is a decend four star Mercure Hotel. Nothing to argue about. The location is good, close to the "Planten un Blomen" Park and the Hamburg fairgrounds. A good position for travelling to the centre - U Bahn 5 minutes away, and well appointed rooms make this an ideal hotel. Very friendly staff. Three criticisms: breakfast expensive, parking expensive and no free wi-fi. Otherwise worth a look. More

Overall a nice hotel. Walls were a little "thin" (kept awake by the snorer next door) as well as hearing the cleaning staff the next morning. Good value for money. I had a window to the street. The street noise is somewhat too strong for a perfect sleep. I would prefer a hotel room floor without carpet. The breakfast is good.
