The unhelpful Booking.com took my credit card number to be "charged on the day of booking" and guarantee a room for late arrival (I would be there after the 6pm deadline for other types of reservation). My card was never charged which was an indication the hotel was full. I emailed the hotel to ask them to confim that they... More
