From the Hauptbahnhof take a tram (3, 4 or 6) to Fischmarkt - only 2 stops - at a cost of €1.70. Within the Erfurt City Zone, all single journeys are €1.70, regardless of how many stops. Keeping the Town Hall (Rathaus) on your right, walk in front of it, then turn right down the side of it. When you... More

Familiar with the city of Erfurt and back for a conference, we requested a room in the hotel’s tower on the historic merchant’s bridge. Room 176 is a climb up three flights, with your luggage, and a short walk away from the main hotel lobby (which has free wi-fi), but worth it if you want to feel like you’re living... More

We took a side trip to Erfurt while visiting a cousin in Berlin. We chose to stay at the IBB because reviews said the staff spoke passable English (we speak very little German), the restaurant was good, the rooms were decent, and parking was available. We found all of this to be true. The rooms might be small by spoiled-American... More

Hotel is very well situated for exploring the old town and is is in a quiet side street location. Car parking is free. Staff were generally helpful and friendly. Breakfast was included in our Expedia price and was fine - nothing fancy. Rooms were comfortable but quite small for the price paid. Overall, if staying for a few days to... More

hotel's location next to the kramerbruecke is fantastic for walking all over erfurt's old city and for getting to local streetcar transit. staff are very helpful at helping one draft a walking tour. lots of cafes and restaurants all around the hotel. hotel restaurant very good food and the staff are very welcoming, even when you come in after 10... I know that's just a good idea in general, but the way their checkout service is organized, you're presented with a total and only get the itemized receipt after you've paid. I was overcharged and had difficulty with the front desk before the manager came out and took matters in hand. PROS: Pretty good location in the middle of the... More

This hotel is right next to the Krämerbrücke bridge in the center of old part of town. Take the S-Bahn from the Hauptbahnof and get off in front of the Rathaus and it is a very short walk over the bridge. Note that the streets and sidewalks are cobblestone. Once you get to the end of the bridge you have... More

This hotel belonged to the Sorat chain but is now part of IBB, which is Spanish; there is just some cooperation left with Sorat. The hotel itself is very much downtown Erfurt, in the medieval part; driving there would be a challenge. It includes two old houses of historical interest (one where the famous German Enlightenment poet and scholar Wieland... More

I loved this hotel. I had an enormous room with a beautiful view. Loved the flower windowboxes in my windows. I understand not all of the views are as great, but mine was wonderful The hotel definitely had a boutique feel to it in the lobby. It was nice that it had affordable Internet access in the lobby, and a... More

We were lured to the hotel with the promise of it being a 'boutique' styled hotel. Although we had a pleasant stay I would not rate its interior decor as being anything special and was only slightly better than a Travel Lodge in the UK. However, the service was fautless, the room spotless and everything seemed to be efficiently run.... More
