“Cheap and Cheerful”

We liked the Mariano for all the wrong reasons. I find rubbish facilities like failing lights and dodgy lefts hilarious. The staff spoke no English, but did their best, and the bar was spartan but cheap. The place charged 50e which is really cheap, but has free parking. Attracted to book this hotel due to offer of a room within walking distance of the sights of Cordoba at a cost of about 60 euros for two nights. Location is not at all in the plush or historic part of the city but it is an acceptable 40-minute stroll to the Mezquita, for example. The hotel is very basic... More

This hotel is dated. Mouldy bathroom, no Internet access. No AC. Very noisy. No telephone nor alarm clock services. More

“Clean, but little else to recommend it”

Overall, this was a disappointing experience. While the hotel was clean, and the staff fairly pleasant, the rest of our stay was pretty bad. One of the biggest problems was lighting in the hallways. The lights were controlled by timed switches located at periodic spots in the hallways and stairwells. The worst was the garage, which followed the same format.... More
