“Fabulous location in vibrant area with associated downsides”

Much of what the other reviewers say is true for our stay but we probably had it a bit better as we went in October. Good locationm for the old quarter of Gijon but when you step inside the nightmare begins. A reception desk above a filthy bar, stinking of cigarette smoke. The room and bathroom were filthy with both dirty sheets and towels, the curtains were hanging from the tracks. It was so hot we had to have the windows open but the noise... More

A large house ideally placed in the middle of the old town, packed with history and antiques. Comfortable en suite rooms. This hotel is definitely not a boutique hotel but has lots of original character and is all the better for it. The location is ideal for the old town of Gijon, the town and the beaches. A perfect place to stay. Low-key. Tucked away off a windy street, this hotel is wonderful. You are greeted by "Clinton", the little dog that stays around the hotel.
